Nostalgia Sucks

Anyone else who's been long gone like me keep trying to pick AO back up from time to time? Ya log in to find all your old hangouts devoid of life, no familiar names on your friends lists. Your guild quiet as a snowy winter night. Heck you realize you can't even control the game anymore, and walk around with all the grace of a of a angry baboon in a china shop. Being bored at work is a terrible thing.

I know a few players that have come back after quitting up to three years ago and finding things so different and stumbling around. It's like leaving home for a few years to come back and find everything completely different. I do know that feeling.

Well there are still things that are familiar with your past, like Gridstream Productions of course.

The citys are always there for you? But it isn't great when you return and you dont see everyone. Ive returned after not playing for about 2 years maybe, but it is always good to see atleast 1 or 2 people come online you know from back then.

I might look at it again once they got the new engine going. If I can find the time. Nostalgia or not, games just haven't had a place in my life in over a year now. Hell my home computer is broke, and I have no desire to fix it. Graphics card bit the big one, it puts these nice green bars all over the screen that look like UPC bars from packaging. Haha
