Basically United and Continental (and potentially some other carriers) are raising their rates. So I quickly jumped to Delta to check their prices (I have found that going directly to Delta to be the best option). I was very surprised by what I found. They had fares even cheaper than last year and cheaper than when I first started looking earlier in the year. So Angel and I went ahead and booked our flight so as to not take chances on it going up again.

Anyway, point being, you might want to check those airfares people!

I will surely be there got the room got the tickets and booked the plane so I am all ready to go. I can not wait but I am going to vegas in June so I hope I do not lose too much money.

As an unfortunate tranplant of GA , been here 3yrs now, I'll be attending my first DCon since well.. I live less than 15 minutes away from the area. Hope to see each and every one of ya'll there. Sheraton is practically around the corner from the other 3 hotels. My job has enabled me to learn a ton about the Downtown/Midtown area in Atlanta.. Limo service is tons of fun *nods sagely*

Oh boy...

Just got an email from Delta. Seems that they have changed my flight to one at 7:20 in the morning. That means that Angel and I will be there bright and early on Thursday. Anyone else planning on getting in town that time?

Well at least this is better than what happened last year. They didn't tell me about the change in flight until an hour before I was ready to leave the house. Originally they wanted to route me by way of New York (the opposite direction from Atlanta from where I live) and not get me there until that night. Took some negotiating with them to get an earlier flight. So glad I don't have to go through that mess again at least. But sheesh!! I'm either going to be hopped up on coffee or completely loaded (or both!!) by the time the rest of you folks get there.

Thanks to Angel, we're back on our original flight. The guy at Delta was completely stumped as to why we'd been changed in the first place and he changed us back.

Hey folks, for those going to dragoncon this year, theres gonna be a 5 person crew in on thursday morning around 8:30ish eastern time. This will consist of myself (gunstorm/warpstar aka BoB) and Tarryk, as well as Demongirl, and Mynka, and a friend of mine Zavier Noble. If anyone would like to hook up in the morning on thursday let me know here on this thread.
