I don't know if this has even been done before, but how about a party in the grid.

I think it has been done once or twice, and it is a cool concept, the only problem is that people have a "natural" attachment to their avatars and boogying down, so to speak. Grid parties tend to relocate before long just so peeps get a bit more of a party-club feel going on.
