Starting 2008

Postby Jugsmalone » Thu Jan 03, 2008 12:37 am

Well just like most people I have decided to make some changes for the New Year. Not resolutions just changes.

1. Organize and declutter. (I have way too much junk in my house)

2. Go back to weight watchers and eat healthier.

3. Rearrange and remodel my bedroom.

4. Stop buying more Junk just because its on sale (I am so guilty of this)

5. Enjoy life a bit more, make more time for fun stuff.

6. Learn to say NO.... I have a very hard problem saying NO to anyone !!!!

So What are your plans this year???

Good luck with your plans, Jugs!

My top 2 have been on my list for as long as I can recall. This year, I might actually make them happen:

- Be more organized.

- Have more patience.

I have added a third goal for this year as well:

- By my 41st birthday (9/28/08 ) I will be in the best physical condition of my life.

Thing with that last one is I'm not just talking in terms of how much I weigh. I have been skinny in my life. In fact there was a time when I was skin and bones and yet I was very much out of shape. Then I reached a point where I was a healthy weight and I thought I was fat. Thing was I may have been a healthy weight but I was way out of shape. Now I'm an unhealthy weight and I'm still way out of shape. So my goal is not as much about weight loss as it is in just being in better physical condition. Of course weight loss kinda' comes with the territory as a nice side benefit. :)

If all goes according to plan, many of you will be able to see that I've achieved that goal by DragonCon '08.

Best of luck for both of ya!

My plans? Well, here goes....

1: further reduce my debts (the day I can get a VISA-card will be a landmark achievement :P)

2: Get down to around 100kg from the 120 I'm at now (not all that much of a problem, since I just need to get off my butt and actually use my Gym-membership for what it's there for, drop the Nerdfuel (GASP!!!) and eat healthier)

3: Try not to be so much of a universal cynic (there ARE good things and people in the world, regardless of what humanity constantly demonstrates), and try to be a tad more friendly towards people.

1. Get out and about more. (Moving to the country hasn't been the best for my reclusive tendencies.)

2. Spend less time staring at the computer screen while Stiofain is trying to get back onto his laptop.

3. Don't explode. :)

1. Quit drinking. (2 weeks in)

2. Lose 40 pounds through a combination of diet and workout.

I'm more worried about accomplishing the second one.
I may be retired, but I'm GridStream for life.

Loosely based on Adaptation of Prayer of Serenity

Grant me Acceptance of things beyond my power
Friends to show me what I can do
Patience to Listen before I speak
Courage to Speak when I must

This I most humbly Pray
