The Sarah Connor Chronicles - Discuss

I just recently saw the pilot episode for this and I thought it was amazing. It's based after Terminator 2 obviously. They put it in 2007 though since Skynet goes online in 2012 it seems they are putting in some breathing room. It doesn't look like it's going to tie into Terminator 3 but I think they are doing that on purpose to change the future again...basically. Summer Glau from FireFly/Serenity plays the newest good-guy terminator to protect John Connor and she does a kick ass job. There's also Lena Headey who played Queen Goro, the wife of King Leonidas on the movie 300. The whole cast seems to meld together quite nicely :). Some more information can be found here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0851851/

Nathon Fillon seems to be the kicking boy for TV producers everywhere... think his most recent thing was Drive which got canned after like 6 episodes...

This sounds like a good idea, Arnie should of done what the actor that played Sarah Connor did, and shoved it up they're back-side. Terminator 3 was a disgrace saying that Sarah Connor died of leukaemia, if she died (unlikely) she'd die charging at the head of the Spartan army of 300.

Terminator 3 was a plain ol' discrace. It wasn't done by James Cameron, who did the previous works so well. Jonathan Mostow took the helm, and really ran that wonderful story to ground.

I was really disapointed to hear that there wouldn't be a Sarah Conner in the 3rd movie. I really love strong women, and in T2, she was a blast! But to have kneeled over dead? Ugh! It's not like she was some 2nd rate character. She deserved something more than what she got.

I'd love a replacement T3 movie, where the opening scene shows Cameron yank the old T3 script out of Mostows' hands, and beats him with it. :) In lo of that, I guess a nifty TV series will do. :P

I don't get all the T3 hate. Did anyone honestly go into it expecting something at the level of T2? I rented it with a couple friends expecting to get a lot of laughs out of it, and was pleasantly surprised by a reasonably decent sci-fi/action flick. It wasn't a great movie but certainly not worthy of the hate people profess about it.

That being said, I'm pretty 'meh' about the idea of the TV series. We'll see, I guess. I'll watch a few episodes but I'm not confident it'll be any good.

I'm way more excited about NBC's Monday night lineup: Chuck (geek becomes a super-secret CIA operative), Heroes season 2, and Journeyman (newspaper reporter begins traveling through time, starring the guy who played Lucius Vorenus in "Rome").

Downloaded it, of course. ;)

I wouldn't mind seeing more of this. It may not be Firefly, but it could at least be entertaining.
