I will be waiting for the Movie to come out on DvD before I see it, I have read the Book(Novelization).

Looking back at a short history of Sci-fi has there been a major Sci-Fi Movie (located even in part on Earth) that did not make the Military (US and otherwise) look like a bad joke?

However, You are entitled to your opinion. In all likelyhood the movie was aimed straight at those who enjoyed the Cartoons as kids and wanted a 'slightly' grown up version.

No no no! The cartoon was bad and wrong! Only the comics are worth considering from childhood years - and preferably the UK ones at that - well, those and the first movie.

If previous years of your life got a formal burial, the 8 year old me would be spinning in her hypothetical grave to hear all this talk about the cartoons as if they counted or something!

Well, I finally saw it. :) You can all stop holding your breath, people.

It wasn't to bad. I'll probably get it on DVD.

I had a few gripes, such as Sound Wave, and the first half of the movie being a very cat and mouse ordeal with the boy and his transformer car. Oh, and how the movie seemed to be more about the kids which took from getting to know the transformers better. I'd have liked to hear Iron Hide tell an old war story, or Star Scream put Megatron on the spot for being AWOL for thousands of years. Oh, and more Megatron. :D

In short, while not perfect, the movie is fun. :) I grew up with the Cartoon. I never knew about the comics until recently, and I may look into them. I do not poo-poo the advent of Sequals... as long as Bay decides that using a wide shot every so often is OK!

Oh, I guess it's Frenzy, not Sound Wave. Hmm. There shoulda been Sound Wave! :D
