Well F'n A. Chai is goin! That rocks, I was wondering who the hell was going to wear the beer hat this year.

Ticket to the con is easy man. Pretty sure you got plenty of time to do that. If you are going from PHL, let me and Vallikat know when, and we can hook up in the airport maybe.

For those going on Thursday, maybe we can meet up again like last year, and commence the predrinking...drinking, in the ATL airport.

hell yes!! this year should be freakin insane. i get in on the 30th at 1130am EST, and i think im hanging around at the airport to meet up with Narcotic, so anyone thats gonan be down there at that time im totally down with hitting one of the airport bars, then taking hte train

Ok since this is my first visit What is this train you speak of don't we just take a cab from the Airport to the hotels,or what???

The train is the Marta, the Atlanta public transport system... and it's pretty clean and fast and incredibly straightforward - there's a stop inside the airport and another right by the hotels, and it's a straight route with no changing if I recall right.

So overall it's probably less hassle to just hop on and off the Marta than to get a cab, especially if there's a group of people... but obviously if you arrive seperately and think a cab will be easier for you to handle then there were plenty of them around too

The airport is at S7 at the bottom, the hotels are around the Peach Tree Centre at N1, just above the central hub...

i believe the exit from the train to hit hte hotels is Peachtree center. though i could be wrong.

Yep it is, and it takes you right into a shopping center.

I guess this is more directed at Meenie, since I know he went to most of the concerts with me. There was a band last year, all instrumental, they played with kabuki masks on, and had two girls dancing on stage. They really shredded. I had hoped to find them this year, but can't remember their name.

If anyone is a better googler than I, please let me know who they were. Can't find them among the 500 or so guests this year, hoping they return!

So hypothetically if someone who doens't play AO any more, but still has love for GSP and of course is into Sci\Fi stuffs decided they wanted to go, but noticed that on the DragonCon web site almost all the hotels are sold out, what kind of options might be availible to them?

Do people have any spots in rooms avalible, or maybe recomendations on some alternative hotels, I (err this hypotheical person) did see several in a google search not listed on the DragonCon page. Closeness would be ideal.
