Ya I just saw a thing on that in popular mechanics, freak'n AWESOME!!!
Lately I've been resenting the future cause the whole oil war going on and everything else that's been making it really shitty to live in this world.....but this is beginning to be a very bright light down the end of a huge dark hallway.
That's cool. I asked around the office and someone had heard that they'll start off around 4-5 thousand dollars.
I'm not sure I'd get one for myself... I imagine it puts up a virtual keyboard for you to type with, but I don't want that taking up my screen size and I would be very annoyed with having to move my hands back and forth from my screen to my keyboard. But I would probably be more likely to give business to a place that had them just so I could play with it. Would be really great as the family PC, too... not that I have one of those.
If you can read this, Traanse trapped me in her signature. She hasn't fed me in days! Hello?
I thought I saw this posted on the GSP boards a long while back. Like, two years ago. I might have been the poster, actually.
But yeah, it's been in development for a while, actually. Looks like it's finally hit the market!
I wish I had the link, but there's also some new technology that forms a keyboard and monitor out of lasers. And the system is simply a series of pen-like objects that project these things. A keyboard displayed on the surface of your desk. The projection was either in the air, or also against a surface (I'm more inclined to go with that, but I seem to recall a void). Beholding this new tech... I feel like I'm watching the Light Bulb being invented, and going,

I was at a discussion some years ago of this concept held by Apple. The idea was for an interactive newspaper. The Apple version would be foldable and basically be a newspaper sized sheet of led screen goodness.
Looks like MS got there first. Which means it'll suffer all the usual MS problems
Meh you know what they are. So personally while it looks cool I'll pass till some other than MS produces it.
