Just when I thought I heard it all about this guy:

(04-03) 13:21 PDT LONDON, United Kingdom (AP) --

Keith Richards has acknowledged consuming a raft of illegal substances in his time, but this may top them all. In comments published Tuesday, the 63-year-old Rolling Stones guitarist said he had snorted his father's ashes mixed with cocaine.

"The strangest thing I've tried to snort? My father. I snorted my father," Richards was quoted as saying by British music magazine NME.

"He was cremated and I couldn't resist grinding him up with a little bit of blow. My dad wouldn't have cared," he said. "... It went down pretty well, and I'm still alive."

Richards' father, Bert, died in 2002, at 84.

Richards, one of rock's legendary wild men, told the magazine that his survival was the result of luck, and advised young musicians against trying to emulate him.

"I did it because that was the way I did it. Now people think it's a way of life," he was quoted as saying.

"I've no pretensions about immortality," he added. "I'm the same as everyone ... just kind of lucky.

"I was No. 1 on the `who's likely to die' list for 10 years. I mean, I was really disappointed when I fell off the list," Richards said.

I've been saying for years that I would prefer to be rolled and smoked. but I guess a mix with some blow wouldn't be too shabby.

"I was reading an interview with Keith Richards in a magazine and in the interview Keith Richards intimated that kids should not do drugs. Keith Richards! Says that kids should not do drugs! Keith, we can't do any more drugs because you already fucking did them all, alright! There's none left! We have to wait 'till you die and smoke your ashes!" -Denis Leary

that's all I have to say about that.

I read earlier that he is denying it, chalking it up to a joke. I don't think his mind is sharp enough to still know how to joke. But whatever.

I am not quite sure why you're lumping Steven Tyler in there with him, Chaimera.

Odds are that Keith Said it and did it and later realised it wasn't something he should of said publicly let alone done. But then Keith must of been one hell of an intelligent man once upon a time to still have enough brain cells to stand up and make a semi-coherent sentence after the drug abuse he's inflicted on himself.

Personally I hope he lives forever as the poster child of what drugs do to people after long term use. The only thing that has kept him from being just another Street crazy is that The Stones got rich fast and invested smart. Something I suspect was more to do with Mick than with Keith.
