Looking for name of a band

Postby Crichael » Sat Mar 31, 2007 7:06 am

I was listening to Gridstream one night, I forget the DJ, but it was one of the heavier doom-like songs, so I bilieve it was Veldron.

But as the topic points out, I can't remember the name of the band. It was a heavy doom German band whose name started with a 'Z' I do believe. Any ideas?

Can you remember any bits of lyrics? That can sometimes be more helpful in trying to work out which song/band it is...

Hmm...German band starting with Z isn't ringing any bells. Rammstein was, of course, the first thought I had.

If it was more dancey/doomy...maybe E Nomine?

If you can give me a bit more to work with, I'll try to figure it out. :)

If it actaully started with a Z it could be zeromancer. We play chrome bitch and doctor online fairly often by them. Just my guess.
Feel free to hit me up for one next show I do :)

Neither of those seem to be the heavier doom though.

Hmm.. Neither E Nomine nor Zeromancer seem to it, however great bands and I'll definately be adding them to my music collection.

But I guess I just don't remember enough about the band/song to give enough info :(

And then there's always the chance that I'm completely wrong about the language (although it deffinately wasn't English) and the letter the band name started with

So it was a band singing in a language that wasn't English, with a name that started with a letter of the alpabet? Hmmm... :P

Seriously, if you hear it again then if you are ingame you can type /tell gridbot playing to get the name of the song playing - and more usefully if you just miss it then you can also type /tell gridbot history to get a list of the previous 10 songs played.

And if you hear it and you're not in game, then not only is the current song listed at the top of the forums and on the main homepage on here, but there's also a list of recently played songs here:
http://www.gridstream.org/gsp-nextgen/s ... story.aspx

So hopefully if it gets played again then you can track it down.

If you think of any more details in the meantime then post them here cos I'm quite intrigued now aso to what it was... so please let us know if you do work it out!

I found the band!

After further research into the above mentioned bands (or, I got off work and could listen to them better), E Nomine is the band I had in my memory. Thank you all.
