The Norwegian variant of these guys seems very affordable,
they basically buy up places/tickets from various airlines and hotels in smaller bulks. Maybe some of you guys can find a nice round trip + hotel deal using these guys.
http://www.travelocity.com/

Just type in your nearest larger airport/large city if your local one fail,
and Atlanta as destination.

Example. Lansing-Atlanta 1 person round trip by plane (obviously) leaving for on evening of 30th, hotel stay, leaving for home on evening of 3rd.
Lowest Flight+Hotel Price=$453 including all taxes and fees.

How does that sound Tarryk? :)

PS! trip can be customized if there is specific hotel preferences and so on obviously.

For those curious the Norwegian site is http://www.reisefeber.no/no/
(language flags at bottom)

I've used Travelocity and all those others before, I'm not too keen on them, I usually end up with just as good of deals sticking with Delta.

And personally, I won't be staying at any cheapoid motels that are 2 miles away forcing a walk through downtown Atlanta at night (don't call it paranoia until you've tried it yourself, trust me), I need to stay at the con motel. :)

Yep. I actually came out a few bucks cheaper by going straight to Delta.

Bah, stupid stupid stupid airlines. Last year I paid $150 round trip from Philly to Atlanta on Delta. Now I'm seeing like $300ish.

Can some of you give me an idea what you paid?

I'm coming Thur-Sun, and I expect alcohol and, well more alcohol to be waiting.

Me and my buddy from last year are booked once again to the exec suites in the Hilton, makes for a small escape from the madness, as the Hilton is the least used of the 3 hotels.

Dave, let me check for sure when I get home but Im pretty sure I was closer to 225 on airfare and I'm also going Delta from Philly to Atlanta. I'm going Thursday to Monday though so I'm not sure if that makes any difference on the price or not.

So there is gonna be tables and such in the Hilton this year? Wicked.

Yes, but what about airfares, what are ya'll been paying? Don't want to shell out $300 and then it's $125 in a month.

Vallikat - Yeah I just ran another check, its $292 atm no matter if I left on Sun or Mon. Maybe you will tell me when you are leaving on Thursday, before I buy my tickets, I flew down with Angel last time, but she refused to drink on the plane!

Stupid airlines.

I just checked the flights again and now that I do, I'm almost certain that was the price for mine as well. I will have to actually look at my ticket though to be sure of that though as well as the time. I will shoot you a pm in the next 30 minutes-ish to let you know for sure.

Yeah, D*Con wasn't using it as much before because the previous owners of the Hilton didn't like the con. New management (and/or ownership, I'm not sure), and they freakin' love it, so they begged for more inclusion. So expect the Hilton to be nice and packed in '07. :)

This thread has gotten far too low, time to bump it teh up. 44 days left!

Are we ready? I hope we have at least as many people going as last year. Maybe even some new people.

I'm ready!!

Ok, actually I'm really not. So much to buy, so little time. No costume for me since I really don't have the money for what I wanted. But I have plans in the works for a few minor things. :)

I am excited beyond words to be going to this thing this year! I just can't wait to meet everyone. I'm working out now to build up my arms for all that huggling I plan on doing. :)
