Big ups -

Where does one apply to make an appearance on this show?

I currently DJ w/ www.breaks.fm off and on, and it just so happens that recently I became an Anarchy Online junkie!

I'm interested in throwing down a live show for the great community that is AO, if you'll have me. I most commonly spin Breaks, funk, & some DnB. I even like to mix it up w/ some oldschool R&B/rap every now and again.

I'd appreciate if any GSP staff would contact me about this. Also, if this was posted in the wrong forums, my apologies!

Easy,

I dont believe that GSP does "one-shot" shows. They *hire* DJs and then they tend to have a weekly show.

As for how to apply, they have an application on the main site here

From the forums, it would look as if they do something of the sort as indicated by "Non-Regular shows." However, I will follow that link you provided me with.

Non regular shows are GSP DJs that for whatever reason can't manage a regularly scheduled weekly show, but still remain on the roster and cover shows and events where necessary.

I understand why you got that impression, Deviantek. However, these are regular GSP DJ's who do not have a current timeslot for various reasons. So Talidro's information in quite correct.

Good luck in the application process!

Thanks for the ups and for listening, deviantek!! :)

I hate saying no to things like this because it's difficult to explain without sounding pretentious, but there's really no good way to say it.

Due to our sponsorship from Funcom, there's a level of liability that we really cannot test the waters on, without risking a lot (like our sponsorship). For that reason, we can't allow guest DJ appearances under normal solo-act circumstances. There are times where guests will speak during standard shows, although this is almost always due to the guest being there with the regular DJ, IRL, or on a Skype conference with the live DJ, or a routed ("sponsored") broadcast through a GSP DJ.

Rare exceptions can occur, but even those are in the form of well-established tenure and trust, such as members of ARK or FC or old GSP members on leave, and even those have to be heavily monitored and regulated.

The two biggest suggestions I have are similar to what's been said here, if you're looking to be live on GSP.

1. Establish yourself with the community and get to know us, then apply to join.

or 2. Get to know someone in GSP and have them sponsor your request for a simulcast or routed DJ event.

Sounds good. I do appreciate the well done response. I will see what I can do to help 'promote' myself in-game perse.

Thanks,

And although GSP plays a lot of music, we do try to do overall entertainment, so we're as much Radio Hosts as just Music DJ's.
