Today my account "Davekillem" closed for AO. After 1 year ingame, I decided it was time to move on, find new adventures, and more content from my gaming. And so I leave behind a game I sucked dry of pretty much every iota of content and fun.
I wanted to post to the GSP forums to just make some quick comments. First off, without GSP and Vallikat, I would have quit AO after the first month, but winning a couple of million credit contests, and having friendly people around you that got me to shows, talked to me, etc, kept me going.
GSP was always my ingame counterpart, my "silent partner", and I listened to the stream throughout 99% of my gaming.
It was a total blast to meet, drink, and drink some more, with the folks at Dragoncon, and I will never forget that.
Some personal notes for those that knew me:
Veldron - I will never stop listening to your show, no matter what game I am playing. Do not think because I can't hassle you through a tell that I am not paying attention to your rants and raves about all things Metal.
Chaimera - See above, except I know you live close, and maybe we will get together one day for some beers.
Foxyjama, Meenie, Lauri, Dani, Kir, Decavolt - I will never forget all of you, and your attitude, your dedication to something others might call "small".
Tarryk - I left you with a large donation, I did it because of the respect I have for GSP, and I do hope you will continue to uphold your standards throughout the life of this station, and the donation I gave will hopefully help some new players, like it did me.
Unlike real life, in MMO's the content is finite, the levels are finite, and so I depart. Take care all of you, and maybe one day, I shall return again. If not ingame, then to the next Dragoncon for sure
