Thanks for stealing two of my favorite memories from childhood and marketing it to feed your greed.

F-you George Lucas and your twisted commercial jackassery.

*shrugs* Star Wars geek that I am, I can honestly say that I don't care about the silly products made because of it. As long as there are movies (as in movies in general not just Star Wars) there are going to be down right silly toys based on them.

Yeah, because Star Wars has certainly never been commercialized out the wazoo for 30 years anyway?

I saw the commercials for these toys. Thought it was dumb and gimmicky to try to capitalize on Star Wars toys so long after the fact. But otherwise, I was damn surprised they haden't done this already. They pretty much marketed the ever living crap out of it as it is.

Anyway, I watched the original Star Wars so many times when it was initially on HBO that I could recite the whole movie by heart. There are still scenes that I can do and I haven't sat and watched it for years. Always loved it. These transformer toys aren't going to change my opinion.

really i dont see a problem with that, they look like cool toys, yeah george lucas sucks for selling un countable versions of 6 movies, but it doesnt matter how annoying the next super duper special edition collectors version now with a piece of george lucas's ass hair people will buy it, sell it, and auction it cuz thats what people do

Agree, the Star Wars franchise has been selling it's rights for top-dollar from day one, there was never a point of "oops I sold out" from behind Lucas' desk; he STARTED there. ;)

That said, I don't mind so much. I like Transformers and I like Star Wars, so slapping them together: no biggie.

...of course, I like ranch dressing and I like ice cream, too. But some mergers were just never meant to be.

Hrmmmm....I can't say as its my favorite mix, but I've seen people mix weirder stuff(my wife was into some crazy mixes when she was pregnant).

As to the merger of star wars and transformers....it can't do anymore damage to the transformers franchise than has already been done...I mean when they started branching out and doing a robot that transforms into a gorilla....I mean c'mon...transformers already "sold out" a long time ago, and George had no delusions of ever NOT squeezing every last cent he could out of the Star Wars franchise...like was said before, I'm just suprised this didn't happen sooner.
If you don't have anything intelligent to say, say something anyway. Someone else could probably use the laugh!

I think Star Wars lego is adorable. In fact, giving one of the sets to a guy indirectly led to a [fucked up] relationship. Ah, lego Darth Vader works every time.

Well, I've seen worse franchise efforts out there.
Starwars lego was fun though.

Lego in general is fun.

But when did obi-wan become a robot?

If you're talking of the Star Wars Christmas, I have that.

It has now been outlawed by many countries, and has been labelled a new "cruel and unusual torture device" by british parliament.

My friends and I often sing "What would you buy a wookie for christmas if he already has a comb?" and we now live in a wasteland - Hull to be precise. :p
