the author makes some very interesting points. imagine all the benefits from changing the way the public buys games.
for instance, the market sells CD-keys instead of completely boxed games (for $50 you buy the account key that you need to create an account and play the game). you take this key and go to the game's website, associate the key with your account, then download the game and play away. the world would benefit b/c no more resources would be wasted on making boxes, cases, manuals, CDs.
the only problem with this is that broadband will be a necessity. of course, in the future, i am sure such a thing could be implemented.
These are the moments we'll remember for the rest of our restless lives.
