2 Europeans and somebody to young to vote responds to this thread. Seems to be that Bush and Kerry are stirring up crap for the people who don't really matter (sniff...sarcasm). I mean really, I do beleive American politics make more of a stir across the pond than they do in the states. There's a fat majority of us stoopid Americans that could care less what figurehead sits in the White House, we take care of business locally....nuff said.

Well, I would hope so, but if ya can't vote because of age then that's that. I just tire of the black and white version of politics that the rest of the free world has of America. It's the radicals of the left and right that dominate the media here, which is what Europe sees. I'd personally like to get Dan Rather and Sean Hannity in the same room together, so that sould collectively suck each other off, since they both push, as what they think, is the mainstream voters. All media forgets us twats in the middle that really only care about the people they love and care for every day by bringing in a paycheck. I've given up my $35,000 dollars for my education in a realm that George W Bush decdied was not a pertinent issue for his PERSONAL issues about Iraq and how to fuel his and the rest of the money sucking freaks SUV's. I also don't like the fact that Mr John Kerry can't decide if he wants to pick his nose or put a little money into the health care of the baby boomers that are all fixing to die or live really long life's due to scieumtfic breakthroughs...Some call it "disillusioned", but I call it (hopefully), some intelligent 30-somethings like myself, that stretch some common sense into our society, and say ENOUGH with the politics. I'm sick of hearing Bush talk his talk as much as I am hearing Kerry talk his talk.....it's the same shit, different day. MESSAGE TO THE REST OF THE WORLD: We aren't ALL a bunch of dumbshits over here...just MOST of us. I attack the problems locally....we have a mayor of my city (and he's pretty good), we have Congress people that sit in Wasington (like any other state), and I make informed decisions about them, and vote for the ones that I agree with.

Europeans seem to like to jab at our Presidents, or Presidential canidates. Let me be one to tell you, that nobody gives a rats ass what ya think over here....at least with politics, in fact in makes em even crazyier. Mob mentality I guess. I'm old school...this country was founded on Isolationism, and I think it should stick too it.

YAWN I'm sleepy now

Rant away as you like mate, but keep in mind... Who ever sits on that hot chair of yours has a MAJOR impact on Europe. We've been invaded, we've been pushed about and our economy is somewhat tied to yours. We got the euro to stabelise it, and it's done wonders, but we are, inevidably tied the the consequences of your "isolasionistic" actions.

Isn't it obvious we'd rather have a president... Who stayed in his own country!?
Our politics and daily lives run a lot smoother when your government doesn't deside to interfere.
And I'm not trying to turn this into an "Invasion is bad" thread. Not at all. You had your reasons, and it's all gone and passed. Bottom line is tho', if you guys would remain as "isolated" politically as you say... Our lives would be easier.

So yes, we do care who's president. Whoever the least gun crazy, war mongering and who ever get's your stabilized agian has my, and the rest of Europes vote. Shame we can't vote tho...

Well thats what the pic is about, isnt it?

Thats the reason why I like this forum so much, it schows me that there are still exceptions. But the problem is that the MAJORITY decides, so its quite easy do figure to what kind of bunch your presidents belongt to.

Everytime i read something from that topic I remember an old Stargate episode,
That General said there: "We americans dont interfere with other nations conflicts/politics!" (something like that)
I tell you I was dieing! I missed the whole rest of that episode cuz of my laughing!

now excuse me, I ll get me some breakfast.

<start>

Personally I could care less about politics, be it in Sweden or abroad.
It's the same shit wherever you look, they all make promises they don't keep. All countries are alike, Europe, US.... maybe Asia is different since they don't really exercise the same democratism we do. Is this a good or bad thing? I don't know.

All I do know is that all politics are a bunch of people who plain out lie us all in the face. I can take Sweden for example, they made so many promises, most of which they never lived up to.

That's just my two cents, politics sux, period!
Or as Otori put it, it's the same shit, different day. And this goes for ALL OF THE WORLD.

Yes you were. The last time by one of your own (meaning a fellow European country and not us)

Well unfortunately neither you nor the younguns posting can vote. Personally though you can be sure I'm voting the way I always vote. Though this time it seems less like voting a political party as voting away from insanity. Still doesn't change the fact of where we are entrenched now and the problem of how the hell to get out. :(

What creeps me out are the politicians we don't really see in the media!
Those are the ones who truly control a nation.
Any president or priminister is mostly a front figure for his/her party,
or the "group" that got them elected (which can be a mixture from any party/(ies)).

Myself i consider 99% of all politicians morons,
and the 1% that got the right idea, is never given the chance or
kept "subdued" enough that they don't conflict with with the rest's ideas. *sigh*

Heck, even dictators don't have absolute power over their nations.

The only ones that would have absolute power over a nation would be a god.
and one of the most popular ones seem to have hightailed outta here 2000 years ago. smart move imo, we humans aren't particulary bright lol..
