Internet Explorer Risks!

A recent news article has shown some serious and still-existent flaws with the security in Microsoft Internet Explorer. Please read the following on how to protect your computer:

On top of this, I have also installed Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org) web interface and completely nixed Internet Explorer from my system.

Just a little personal recommendation that others do the same.

and yes, you can still log in and tune in to GSP with Mozilla...although it will ask you to "select the program" with which to open the .pls file that is the stream. Simply browse to /program files/winamp/winamp.exe on your computer and select "use this from now on" or whatever.

Yep, the problem with IE (for those whom don't know) is that it's intergreated, fully into the OS. So when you are exploring your system you are really using IE. Ontop of that, the development team isn't really working on IE a whole bunch anymore (they've started to pick stuff back up). If I were you, do what I do and check out Firefox (more so than mozilla). It's the new browser they have and actually works just as well as Mozilla does. Problem is that not everyone codes properly because they are coding web pages for IE.

Agreed, and I've run into my first and most furious problem with Mozilla that apparently no-one who knows anything about the program can help me with.

At first few runs, it had all my internet explorer favorites in the bookmarks, all nice and handy. Then after a reboot (during which NO mozilla settings were changed at all I might add) they're all gone and I can't get them back, even though they are still there if I use IE.

Anger level = FURIOUS

Calming down = not in the least.

Logging off to go read a book = yep.

maybe you can try to export your ie bookmarks and import them into mozilla?
