Damnit, why is it that DJ's all look the same, Tarryk looks like this DJ who I know at a bar :-P

No he isn't tarryk...

And by the looks of it, those pictures give me more incentive to randomly hover around michigan and crash over at Tarryk's and Lynx's place...

While your there, stop by my place.

Go to Detroits Ghetto, find Jefferson, head down Jefferson as the area around you turns from ghetto to one of the most prosperous communitys in the USA, and look for me house. I dont mean to brag about the most prosperous communitys in the US, but it IS true. Art Van (the man) lives in Grosse Pointe Shores.

Just a few months ago or years it was teh dude who played Anakin in the second Star Wars Movie, then Ewan McGregor, Josh Harnett....

Mmmm, I'm quite possitive that Orlando is more stable than a passing fad. He's yummy eye candy, and a decent actor. ^_^ Even if he does do down hill, he'll still be remembered for his yummy youthfulness. :P

And as for the names you listed, I have no idea who those people are. :-D So, that makes me right. :P hee!

Ewan Mcgregor was the newbie office clerk in Mogadishu Airport sent in to take over a M60 from a soldier who broke his arm screwing around. He wanted to see action the entire time, idealizing the American Youth that enters combat (Vietnam, the beginning, Desert Storm, and so on), that thinks War is easy and "Fun", and then gets the brutal shock of the faitality of it. Since in real life and in the movie, he was the coffe brewing office worker at the airport, it was easy to poitray it.

Josh Harnet was Sgt. Matt Eversman, the leader of one of the Chaulks sent into the Battle of the Black Sea (The event poitrayed in the movie). In real life and in the movie, he is an idealistic young soldier, wanting to help the somalis but also get out Adid. Not the sort of "Gung ho, there all bad" sort that the other troops were...and I believe were not in real life....but thats due to holywood.

Orlando Bloom was Pvt. Blackburn, a fairly young 19 year old new to combat Ranger who fell 60 feet from the Black Hawk and survived, but was out of most of the movie, and the combat in real life.

Why I really suggest you don't see it Tristalyn, unless you wanna see your flame fall from the rope and fall down 60 feet into a dust cloud and have some blood but still live!!!

It's actually why Jerry Bruckheimer chose him for Pirates of the Carribean (Right director of that movie, right?), even before seeing his teriffic poitrayl of Legolas in Lord of the Rings. He admired his acting, and even when I didn't notice who he was, I did like how he did (His demand to Tom Sizemore or another to not go back without him was well done, and really left a mark).

Eric Bana was Norm Hooten "Hoot", the battle heardend and "Generals soldier", a semi mentor for Josh Harnet in the movie.

There...every good looking guy who played in Black Hawk Down. Harnet sort of fizzled away, Ewan Mcgregor was a big hit with Star Wars 1 and 2 and is sort of dissapearing a bit, and Orlando Bloom is having his spike.

It's why while you are probably right Firia and Tristalyn, but you have to consider he might fizzle away, but my bets are not for awhile due to his preformance in Lord of the Rings (One of the greatest movies of these times)

On the topic of that, I'm hoping they reintroduce each of the Lord of the ring Movies unto theatres again, I missed the second, got the First on Movie channels...and I dont wanna miss the third. >_<

Oh and Hans Zimmer did one of the best jobs for the music of Black Hawk Down in the movie business, I consider the best.

I'm a scholar of the events on October 3rd 1993, in Mogadishu. :D

And the movie was a good action flick in a war Movie.

LOTR being one of the best films in reacent times?... We could discuss that for a while... but I'm not gonna... it's a grungy one to do over a forum...

I'll say this once, and leave it at that.
Whilst the movie is spectacular, breath taking, and an awe inspireing thing to behold upon the big screen, none of the films so far are great the second time you see them. Peter Jackson has taken some liberties with the film that I cannot forgive. Those of us who grew up with the books will know that Gimli is a warrior who's like is not a thing you often behold, Legolas is a mysterious warrior and Aragorn is a natural leader.
So far so good...
BUT, in the movie, Gimli is a comic relief jester who's bid in life it is, too seem ridiculous when compared to the elf. Who in return makes superman seem incompetent and frail. Aragorn is not only the leader here, he is a one man army who's destiny it seems os not o be king, but god, as no other position fit's a person of such skill.
I am generally upset with the lay out, as Aragorn is a fencer, a dueller. One on one, he'd take you out! But in the heat of battle, it was Gimli who rolled heads, and Legolas who shot. Aragorn lead and inspired. He was more of an icon than a weapon.

Also, I find it a cheap shot, and a tasteless one at that, making the dwarf the laughing stock, because it is too obvious. It didn't require any brain activity comming up with the idea that the "little one" should be picked on.

Further more, Gimli changes size just so he can be used for lame jokes that will attract the new viewers who'd otherwise find Tolkiens work too heavy...
I'm sorry to say, but LOTR is, and I stand by this, NOT a comedy, nor should it be made into one. It is an adventurous tale of fantasy and fairytales and it is what has spawned the role playing world as we know it!

Jerry Bruckheimer was the producer of both movies. Ridley Scott and Gore Verbinski directed Black Hawk and Pirates respectively.

Or maybe I missed the point you were trying to make.

Jerry Bruckheimer is the Satan of Hollywood, especially when he teams up with Michael Bay (ala Armegeddon). Eye candy, one-liner, macho, over-the-top, rubbish of movies is all that ever gets made. Yeah....that :P

He also was one of the main people in the new Star Wars films (Not sure who, I'm not a big SW fan *ducks* )
And also the male lead in Moulin Rouge....

*and* he can sing pretty darn good
