Sax and the city

Postby Fishi3 » Fri Jan 23, 2009 10:12 pm

Well I had a Saxaphone for all of two weeks. It was an alto or as tenor. I went out and bought some reeds but hadn't actually tried to play as I'm suffering a cold and between coughing, wheezing, and fighting to breathe blowing into a musical instrument seems a bit out of line. The Sax has now gone out of my life. The owner needs to sell it. It's a $800.00 sax so I can't afford it. If the pawn shop or music store only offers 10% or such I'll buy it at that price.
I'm not really thinking I'ld ever learn to play it properly. But it's nice to have an instrument to play about with

I am so tired of being sick.

That's a shame, Fishi3. I like the sax, played a little in my school days among a few other instruments. I started out on a clarinet because that's what my mom had. I kept playing because I loved it's mellow sound. The sax, however, has gusto.

I hope you feel well soon. Being sick sux.

I used to play the clarinet back when I was in middle school, because my Dad already had one from when he was a boy. I haven't touched it since I hit 9th grade, and have no reeds anyways.
