This is my desktop at my RL work. Posting just for the sake of doing so, and because this is another wallpaper that I've had around for many many years. I've ALWAYS loved this image (cell of a scene that doesn't actually happen in Record of Lodoss Wars).

I always thought Deedlit was a hottie.

Deedlit is the hottest of hotties, my brutha.

Although with this particular image, it's one of the few pics that emphasizes a point that was not as "touched upon" as I would have liked in Lodoss Wars. (namely the romance chick-flick stuff)

So I consider this a cell of an "alternate universe" story, where they're both actually human (and a bit more mature).

I agree, I would have loved to have seen the two characters develop a deeper relationship. I didn't watch the whole television spin-off done after the OVA. I kinda got sick of it, so I'm not sure if anything happened there. If I remember correctly, half way through it stops focusing on the characters from the OVA and focuses on this kids' adventures. The voice acting wasn't that great, and the animation was a lot worse than the first one. The opening animation for it was AWESOME though, too bad production money can't be spent to see that type of quality on TV.

Ooops, a tangent. Sorry. Anyway, a great looking background for your work desktop. Mine is currently Dawn of War propaganda with a screenshot of a bunch of soldiers in battle. The one at home changes every day, but it's mostly web artists that I got backgrounds from for supporting their websites.... oh, and BERSERK!!!! (The best Manga in the world!!!!11!one~!!)

To memory there are two spinoffs of lodoss war, each rather pissy.
Record of lodoss wars: Chronicle of the heroic knight is that one, I think.

It starts off halfway through the series (after the war of heros) and seriously butchers the story, making it another crappy anime plot and not the rich D&D themed story the OVA had. I would have enjoyed a greater focus on all the romances, especially pirotess and ashram, Orson and shiris. Deedlit and Parn was, to be honest, a little predictable.


Though, I think we have forgotten a certain slinky elf named Pirotess.

Perhaps we should turn this into a big wallpaper thread, for what people have posted as their wallpaper... maybe ill start it... Made this myself.

Yea, i like my desktop, bunch of pics of a very nice looking friend of mine, i took and made into a sort of collage, using Paint. Was pretty easy, and i like it Perhaps ill tell ya bout her sometime...

There are 8 in that little collage alone, Boinky. Every one is of her. Basically nothing to "tell", really. shoulda edited that...(Curse my lack of using Preview...) She's just a friend of mine, known her for 2 months. year older than me, very nice girl. Basically the girl of my dreams. Out of respect for her, I dont plan on spattering her pics all over the forums to be gawked at yet.... That is my desktop and that's it unless i decide to put more. And i have to worry about my own, btw... But this isnt quite a pics thread, its desktop wallpaper
