...was a recent picture of myself. Well, sort of.

No, I'm not kidding.

So Tacz, you said you were going, I was keeping an eye out for you, but given the numbers...yeah, snowball's chance. Did you cosplay, or just laugh at those who did? :D

By "our", I mean us anime-geeks.

Well, I'll say this...literally every two seconds, I heard "Jesus!" or something akin to that. No h4t3 from ANYONE, which is a REAL acomplishment when you consider the types who often watch anime, let alone go to cons.

Before I even got into the building and registered, I had my picture taken about 5 times. Once I got in, it only got worse...but hey, that was the idea. I was randomly glomped by so many cute chicks, the heat of the J-suit(as I came to affectionately call it) didn't even matter anymore. All kinds of people wanted pictures with Jesus, and I didn't turn anyone away, no matter how crowded any lines I was in were. ...in were? Is that even gramatically correct? Oh well...

I'm sure that within a week, there will be tons of pictures to be found...fansview is the only one I've seen yet. Only bad side of this entire thing was that I got a few goth chicks glomping me too, which kind of freaked me out...

Oh, also, if you're at a con and a cute girl demands you hug them, listen to them. I refused a group of girls one(I was going under a "no giving hugs, only taking" rule), and they waited TEN HOURS to gank me from behind...as in, one literally jumped on my back.

Again, I was in discomfort, but then I remembered "Hey wait, that's a cute girl on my back...eh, it's cool." and just continued walking as per normal(if a bit hunched over).

Next year is undecided...I'm definitely bringing the J-suit again just in case, but I think I'll go with something that can be included in a group...my friend went as Johnny from Guilty Gear and he got to hold a Dizzy for a pose. Yeah, hold, as in his story mode ending where he's carrying her. Lucky bastard...

My friend was thinking of doing that next year, and said that if need be, he'd shave his eyebrows underneath so that he could have one almost falling off.

E-eyebrows...

Actually Tacz, the weapon would need the orange thing on it, otherwise you cannot bring it.

CP? Jin-Roh, right?

Weapons Policy for Otakon 2003
Please read these rules carefully, as some changes have been made. We have found certain things are illegal or too hazardous to have at the con.

There is NO LIVE STEEL at all allowed on the premises of the BCC. Live steel is swords, knives, bayonets, or other objects made of metal which can take an edge, regardless of whether the object is actually sharp.

There will be no guns of any kind: no pellet, water, or air guns, or replicas of actual guns. Exceptions: Plastic guns that have the orange tip or which can be easily identified as a fake or child's toy gun will be accepted. All questionable items will be decided on a case-by-case basis.

Any object over 8 feet high, or weighing over 250 pounds, may be considered a weapon by the City of Baltimore.

Wooden weapons that are allowed: staffs, walking sticks, and bokken and other wooden swords are allowed and welcomed. Misuse of any wooden weapon, such as swinging it in a public area, will get your privilege revoked immediately.

Fake or made-up weaponry (tissue paper, plaster of paris, cloth) are all welcomed if they are safe and not dangerous to the other con-goers around you (wire is sticking out, it trips passersby, it clotheslines someone...)

All objects brought into the convention may be checked and considered by Otakon staff. All Otakon staff and Baltimore Convention Center employees' decisions on weapons are final. Any weapons bought at the con must be taken to your home, vehicle, or hotel room as soon as possible. Weapons are not to be taken out of their packaging or wrappings while at the convention.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Yeah, the orange tip thing.

For Safety, I'd email em and ask, just to make sure.

MG42 or MG34, I think at the ending he used the MG42.

Weird how they had Kraut weapons, granted Japan was allied and probably got arnaments from Germany.

I'd have expected more British or American stuff.
