Black Violin A Flat I'm a real big fan of violin music. I really like this song, and I really like the violin that one guy has (the wiry one with the black rim)

I heard In Extremo - Wind the other day and thought "wow, I did not expect that." So since it seems like In Extremo has a few fans outside Germany at least, I figured I'd post some other German bands that are similar.

Subway to Sally: They are sort of folk rock / folk metal / medieval stuff.
Kleine Schwester - lit. translation "Little Sister", this video has a translation of the lyrics to English which might be interesting
Kleid aus Rosen - lit. "Dress of Roses"

Schandmaul: They are usually a bit lighter, more folk rock / medieval.
Hexentanz - lit. "Witchdance"
Herren der Winde - lit. translation "Masters of the Wind"

Samsas Traum: It's something with rock and medieval and other stuff, they can vary wildly between albums. Their band name is derived from Kafka's "Die Verwandlung" or "The Metamorphosis" in English. I notice that they are difficult to find on youtube... let's see what songs I can find.
Endstation.Eden - pretty much the same in English
Sisyphos - Mythological name, in English it's spelled "Sisyphus" - this one is only a "snippet", they don't put their full songs on their channel
They actually made a "gothic opera" consisting of 12 chapters with a total length of over an hour, it's quite cool and the 12 chapters / songs tell one story. It can be difficult to find but is worth it.

The song is pretty awesome, but I really like the feats of strength/acrobatics in this. I wish they did stuff like that around here, but sadly any of the boys who even thought about joining a cheer squad were bullied and called things like "fag" and "gay".

It's too bad those kids didn't let them become this, would have been fun to do this in highschool. (then again, I was a band geek, rather than a cheerleader)

Yeah, they've been making the rounds lately on FB and in the music news. Personally, I think Doll$boxx did it better. Them I liked. This didn't work for me. I seem to be in the minority though.

Found two songs lately that a friend showed me. Don't know how I never heard these songs, but I love them. Tried finding an AMV of them, but no bueno (I need to just learn to make my own one of these days)

Passenger
-Scare Away the Dark

-Let Her Go

I hadn't heard the first one before but 'Let Her Go' has been getting quite a bit of airtime on the radio stations hereabouts.
