So I promised I'd share some pics of my vacation. And I made a lot this time. Mainly because when we got to Venice I had the idea of not running through with the rest of the tourist throng but instead board one of the bus boats and drive along the Canale Grande and have a look at the sights from the water. I chose some different images to give an impression to those who have never been to / have never seen pics of Venice.
TSW designers, feel free to pirate these images
San Pietro church, in the East of Venice. This wasn't taken from the bus boat.
That's a view from the San Elena quarter (East), looking West into the city. We boarded the bus boat there and went West.
From the bus boat now, apporaching the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute. I chose this pic because you can see some "traffic" here, too.
One of the houses there. I took tons of these photos because the houses look so impressive (if they're not looking run-down and shabby, which is about the other 50%):
This one I just had to get for the TSW fans. Welcome to the Ca'D'Oro bus boat stop:
Of course I was in Venice as the ambassador of GSP (Pic taken on the ferry, the bus boats are a lot more crowded!)
And finally, after about 8 hours of touring Venice on boat and on feet, we got to see a sundown over Venice too:
I hope you liked the pictures! There's more, if you're interested
