My DNB Quest..

Yea there is DNB contained within, but hear me out! hear me out!, if you like some pendulum you might like this, ..

On my never-ending quest to find music that combines my two loves, rocking guitars and kickin drum and bass, I came across these guys.

The Qemists - Stompbox - http://youtube.com/watch?v=DDneLsRDVRc
The Qemists - Drop Audio ft ID - http://youtube.com/watch?v=reaKjz7rELo

Drop Audio just makes me think of a DNB version of Linkin Park for some reason  I think its the vocals, they also have a track featuring Mike Patton on thier myspace-space which is rather nice.

go on, give em a home, hug a DNB artist or two this summer.

*I'll be seeing them live in june :P *

Ok, I haven't had a chance to give these a listen yet, but I needed to poke a little fun at myself.

For 15 years of my life I worked for a credit card bank. As such when I read DNB I thought, "Dun and Bradstreet" a company that provides reports ranking banking institutions on several categories.

Seriously.

You can stop laughing at me now. :)

I check up on Zardonic's stuff now and then, and I thought his metal/DNB mixes were pretty cool, but today I was really impressed to hear this NIN remix,

if you like NIN and a little DNB, check this Zardonic THTF Remix (The Hand that Feeds) 8)

I also love the 'There is no god' track also found on this page, an awesome mix of metal and DNB

Ironically, since I started doing the live-mixing thing, I've been on a similar quest myself. While these aren't totally dj-friendly tracks, they are definitely rockin' and worth the listen. I think I'll have to look up a full album from these cats for a future show.

I saw these guys (qemists) in june a month after I made this post (also saw pendulum live in june) as impressed as I was to hear pendulum for the first time ever live, and they were good :P ... when I saw qemists I was blown away, I had this face for an hour  definatly worth giving a listen

DNB for GSP sets I think.. yea can be difficult to find some, apart from Pendulum I mean  an album I was listening to as a breather from Pendulums - Hold your Color was Matrix & Futurebound's Universal Truth album (its not head banging, brain mashing drum and bass, its just..pleasant!), in particular..

Matrix & Futurebound - Coast to Coast
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q23sJ-emqds

'''M&FB''' - American Beauty (beautiful track :) )
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Y4xIVdA ... re=related

** Another track I think worth listening to is this one... its a subtle twist on a simple & thoughtfull song, and I think they kept the remix quite simple aswell which I love.

Snow Patrol - Open your Eyes (DJ Marky & Bungle Remix)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=f8aikeQzBcI&feature=related

other than that, my quest continues !!

I mentioned awhile back about Zardonic's remix of NIN - The Hand That Feeds,.. I found this morning that can also be downloaded for free from the NIN Remix site.

http://remix.nin.com/

Nice to have a browse though and listen to some remixes different people have created and uploaded, although the Zardonic one is still my favourite mix at the moment.... :)

Listening to the remixes doesn't require registering but downloading does...
To find the Zardonic remix you navigate to LISTEN at the top and use the Seach link and type away to your hapiness  *wanders off to troll tinternet some more*

**Edit

Chunks of Metal with breaks of Bassy Goodness, added these guys to my list of bands I'd love to see live :D , it deviates a little far from the DnB Path, but still a worthy one to mention.
