Looking back about 10 years ...

Back in the days I was heavily into 3D animation and actually later got hired as a 3D animation artist at O3 Games (which is now StarBreeze Studios). These movies were among the first I ever made and the first one "The Assassin" was made for a LAN party for the animation compo. The year I made it was in 1996 or 1997 (I can't remember more exactly). I think I managed to get that one done in under a week from start to finish.
The second one, "Final Impact" was done in 1998 also for an entry to an animation compo.
These are the only two movies that I still have intact, and it's kinda funny watching what has happened since those days. Back then the state-of-the-art computer was a Pentium 2 running at a whooping 266 MHz, and rendering time was a pain in the ass hehe. Today, 10 years later we have quad core processors running at a total of what, 12 000 MHz (4 cores at 3ghz each).
Back in the days those movies were considered pretty good for the equipment and software at hand for a person that didn't work for a major art studio hehe. And yes, both these movie came in on 1st place in the animation compos
So without further ado, I have made the movies available for download
(If you have a giggle out of them, you are not alone ... I am having a blast watching them 10 years later)
The Assassin
Final Impact
PS. In 1996 I was 14 years old DS.
