Visit to Prague

I recently was abroad for a weekend to visit Prague in the Czech Republic for a conference with my company. The conference was scheduled so we would have an opportunity to explore the city, both during day and night.

At first is was a little confusing from what I am used from in Sweden, but I adapted fairly quick. The language is bizaar and I didn't understand much of anything so it was fortunate that most people I needed to talk to knew how to speak english.

For anyone visiting the city I would recommend exploring it by foot, tram or by subway as it was quick and easy to get where you wanted to go.

And alot of things were quite cheep too. How about genuine Czech beer for about $1 for 0.5L (or about 1 pint for you guys with the imperial system) and a really good dinner went for about maybe $10-20 including an apetizer, beverage and desert.

Anyway, as usual when I take a trip I felt obligated to pack down my camera and snap a few photos. And attached to this thread are some images that I took while I was in Prague.
Speaking of the camera, something very odd happened at the airport as I was cruising through security checkpoints. They halted me, pointed to my bag and the slot that flashunit was located in and had me take it out for them to examine. I tried to explain that it was just an ordinary flash unit, but they incisted on using somekind of "electronic nose" on it from all kinda angles.
I was suprised considering I have been in the US twice with the same flash unit, and gone through far more extensive security screenings and they haven't payed much attenting to it in the past. :)

Also, among the photos I included an experiement of my, a HDR image of the Charles Bridge.

Really great pictures X. Makes me want to pack a bag and take a train to Central Europe.

Oh yes, they had everything you can imagine, and a little more. Atleast according to the guy inviting people from the street :P

They also have a three story "Torture Museum" near the Charles Bridge. That sounded a little scary ..

Those are beautiful pics! Not just the things in them (although that, too)... but the bridge pic is just breathtaking. Thanks for showing them!

I really love all these pics, great quality, X!!

I was especially impressed with the subtlety of the plumbing outside of St Vitus'. That caused a double- and triple-take by me, after which I just stared at it for a few minutes.

Each piece of the puzzle is fine on it's own, but as a complete image, that scene is just all manner of "WTF?" Just awesome. :)

Very cool pictures, I wanna go! I agree that the picture of the pipe is the best one. Just something about it. I can't put my finger on it either.
