Winters in Maine

Hey all,

Just wanted to share a little slide show of Winter in Maine. These are all pictures I took, and they are mostly scenery within a half mile of where I live.

This is the Cemetary just up the road from where I live. It is fairly protected by surrounding trees, so it doesn't get a lot of snow.
Image

This is across from the cemetary. You can't see it from this angle, but just beyond the light poles is the main road into my town. In the foreground is the snowmobile trail.
Image

Here's a little bunch of trees and bushes coated in a fine sheet of snow. When the sunlight hits them, it's absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately I didn't get out in time with the camera to capture that.
Image

This is a picnic area near my house. I walk down there occassionally via the snowmobile/ATV trail. Nice little place to relax. To the right, off the photo is a boat landing on the Aroostook River.

And this is the Aroostook River in Winter. The bridge in the background is the snowmobile/ATV trail. We have a lot of old railroad beds up here that have been turned into trails for recreationists.
Image

This is a collapsing potato barn about a half mile from my house. I'm not sure how old it is, but I dare say it dates back to the 40s and 50s at least.
Image

And perhaps my favorite picture...the Frozen Tundra that is Maine.

Hope you liked them! :D

Cel...that's not done yet.

We've got another 10-15 feet coming probably over the course of the winter.

while the snow we just got in Nashville isn't as inspiring as these pictures, I should get some nice shots of the local golf field...snow means I won't be kicked off. Will have the film developed and scanned asap
