Very useful as well. I sometimes forget I cant do that on other peoples PCs and it drives me nuts...force of habit.

Recently forced to put a new monitor on my Best Buy credit card (I've never seen a credit card scream OR bleed before, it was wierd) due to my 15-year-old 21-inch CRT finally collapsing (never saw a monitor scream and bleed before either, come to think of it...)

As such, new shiny colorzes on my desktop, and a hell of a lot better contrast & levels on this lcd display. Can't say that I'm a fan of the nasty refresh rates these things still have, but it's more than made up for in the vivid ... um ... vividity..?

Rambling, sorry. I gave my desktop a commemorative makeover in mourning of my good credit history...

It's a fair mix of both. You're right that it does take up less memory, which right there is enough to make me prefer it, but the buttons are also MUCH easier to identify than any of the new versions. And once you've been using winamp nonstop for a few hours (i.e., DJing), it's always nice to still be able to tell those buttons apart.
