What We REALLY Look Like

I'm posting this because while I do like to share pieces of myself with others, and have them follow suit (aka RL pictures), there is something that is taken away when you do so.

I'm sure some would disagree. They think that when you share a picture with someone, then something is added. I don't share this perception. When you are a character in a virtual world that is designed to house the body, mind, and soul of a being you would like to be in that world, you run the risk of taking away the identity of that character when you show someone a picture of the person behind it.

Here's the objectively accurate truth of my life.

I work in radio. I like my job. I like to go to bars occasionally. I'm a huge movie buff. I'm a bit lazy, but I try not to be. Virtual reality is my number one favorite form of entertainment.

I work for GridStream Productions, a clan-contracted but neutral-oriented guild on the world of Rubi-Ka. I love my work, and I love my coworkers. I sub-specialize in martial arts, using my own special brawling techniques, but it is a hobby that I don't get much time to pursue because of the amount of hard work and determination I put into making GSP live up to it's slogan "Rubi-Ka's #1 source of live entertainment." I tend to stay in pretty good shape, but I don't care much about that. I care about seeing people dance. I care about watching an entire room full of crazed Reetheads turn themselves into leet and start bouncing like popcorn to the driving beat of Brooklyn Bounce...I care about the music.

And that's what I REALLY look like (I'll throw some photos in later).

Raquel Svancara, a female homo-opifex in my late twenties.
SPARTA, a member of the Omni-Tek Security Council, is the organisation which employes me. Omni-Tek's welfare is what my life is about, and sometimes it means being classified as an Ice Queen or having a Black Heart. I'm often called a "bitch" or "Omni scum" for my views and loyalty to the Corporation. I also tend to stick my nose where it doesn't belong, resulting in the occasional missing limb, but such comes with my line of work. *cough*
However, even a cold hearted Employee isn't one-sided. Music turns that coin over, showing another face of this Agent.
Weakness? Perhaps.....Escape? Most certainly.

Hi. My name's Jenae and I'm a Gridaholic Anonymous. I mean, a Fixer. Y'know - these odd folks always runnin' here an' there, whose job consists in standing in the background looking cool while actually preparing the hidden, undercover dirty job of hacking insurance and bank accounts, and finally have to take the hard decision of gridding the whole team out when said team has screwed the job up... Atashi no baka. Screw 'im. I actually prefer what my friends and colleagues call me - simply Jen. Some of my enemies do it too, but usually they rather tend to give me a few other names. Nah, really, I can't understand why they call me "the crazy bitch" - I mean, really, am I so crazy? *looks innocent wile playing with a White Trash stim*

Aah. I see. Dat's coz of Heiji, I s'pose. I understand that he ain't so kind with 'em as he can be with me. When he wants to. They jus'... can't understand. *shakes head with an odd little chuckle* They dun understand, also, that we haven't anythin' particular against Clanners. Am jus' doin' my job... yeah, believe me, jus' dun come crossin' meh, an' ya'll be fine. *eyes at a few people... they know who they are* Ain't myself fer revenge a lot, but y'see... I wouldn't trust Heiji-kun on this. He really doesn't like when some folks try to screw meh. And I jus' ain't sure that, well, I'd try to prevent 'im from doin'... somethin'. He knows the Grid very well. Well enuff to do... lots of other stuff while I pretend not to see 'im. *nervous chuckle*

*shakes head again* Naahw. Ya dun undersdand, d'ya? It's normal. Dat's why they say I'm crazy, after all. Guess I kinda like it. Makes folks wary. Makes 'em look funny, eh *chuckles* Omoshirokatta... as Heiji-kun would say. Or is it meh? Sometimes... I dunno myself. Ain't important, 'nyways.

Okay. I'm gonna turn on the 'stream again. Been a while I couldn't listen to 'em. Not bad music fer Clanners, eh, even if some of ya folks should sometimes take it easy *sighs, almost in sorrow*... Ne?...

One might ask, who is Xyrnyx? To that I have an answer:

Xyrnyx is a near middle-aged opifex who is a complete and utter realist based on the circumstances of his life. He overcame great (but known to few) adversity in his life to come to Rubi-Ka, with Omni-Tek offering him a new life, which he will always be grateful for. He used to be quite the ladies man until he was married, though he is never lacking in charm. He tends to be quite laid back, except when it comes to his job, which he takes very seriously.

Xyrnyx is a fairly likeable fellow and has no particular distaste for Clanners in gerneral, and even though he may understand some of their motivations for disliking Omni, he personally will always be loyal to Omni and follow the directives put before him. However, he does have a particular ill for those who go out of their way to oppose Omni, which includes both radical Clanners, and Omni criminals. Most of all, Xyrnyx has a great closeness to his friends, whether Omni or Clan and always does his best to be at their aid, especially when they have been at his.

Xyrnyx is a complicated man in general, and not an easy person to understand all of his motives. Only his wife, Ryania really comprehends his nature, as well as a few of his very close friends in SPARTA, which he joined out of loyalty to Omni-Tek so long ago. Despite his friendly nature, Xyrnyx is ill-tempered and though he may keep his mouth shut regarding some of his opinions, he always keeps his eyes open and is ready to strike against those who would hurt what he stands for.

In regards to his realtion to GSP. Xyrnyx was and will always be a party animal. He loves to drink, dance, and socialize with all types. He always enjoys the opportunity to forget his woes and just relax. Overall, he is the kind of man you just can't but help but get along with in a party setting, and is well-known among such individuals.

I am a web developer, I live with my wonderful girlfriend, I am 22 and bought my own home over a year ago. I like my job and every challenge it presents. I am crude and funny, but sometimes like to go be alone in a group of people...

Beams of bright energy laced through the dark void above a birght blue globe of light. Dark fat gnats hung weightless as their prickly hides spouted pure energy at one another. One such large nobbly gnat turn its attention to the glowing blue orb and spewed death at it... across the surface life was remove in a blaze of flames and pain.

In the year 29389 the Corporations went to war with Omni-Tek. Planets burned, colonies were destroyed, and even whole systems ceased to exsist. Most of the Stritzke family had perished in New Chicago on March 11th, 29419 when their home and offices at the TruSpace Networks facility were vaporized by an Omni-Tek strike.

My name is Cyrus "Viray" Stritzke, I am a descendant of Levi Stritzke who watch from the Hub Sphere located on the surface of Earth's moon as war raged in that black void. I came to know that a corporation did what it had to do to keep its profits, no matter what the cost.

I stand tall and lean, however I have ample strength to finish my tasks... I am a tinker-er by nature, Engineer by trade. I travel with my bot RustBucket... he himself started as an mess of junkyard parts and broken terminals, he is raudy once in a well but listens somewhat well... really his only bad habit seems to be a fondness of chairs, and arguing. I add to Rusty when I can to make him a better traveling companion and protector...

I was originally to join the Omni-Tek Engineer Corps and work my way into a higher position under a Master Engineer as an apprentice. Unfortunately events for myself didn't go my way. I ended up unemployeed before I even showed up for work, a cog lost from the big machine... I headed to a neutral side of Rubi-Ka to get my bearings and maybe find a job.

Early in my lost wandering I stumbled upon the Elite Academy... they have been my shelter, friends, and team mates for a while now. I just hope I return the favor just as much. I maintain what I can for EA with my engineering skills and assist all the org mates I can as possible... I am a Mecenary now, War is my job... however EA up holds a code of honor not just greed of credits. This is why I can call them comrades.

And that's what I REALLY look like.
