While both of these powers might be great on RK, I'm unconvinced about their application to RK4 without any complimentary powers. They've never really been at the top of my wishlist for more than a moment at a time.
With no protective powers, you'd need a lot of warm protective gear to fly. To get across town to somewhere you want to look presentable, you'd have to bring your clothes, makeup, hair supplies, etc., land somewhere nearby you can change out of your flight suit and get dressed, and then stash the backpack. Short-range it wouldn't actually save much time, especially if anyone sees you and demands that you explain yourself.
Long range, like flying to DragonCon, you'd have a lot to carry and it would be bulky and wind resistant and too heavy to hold on to for a long time. You'd need both hands to hold stuff, so you'd have to stop and rest frequently to check your GPS, which cost more than the plane ticket to get one that wouldn't crash flying 120MPH over roadless areas.
I've often wished I could turn invisible, but simply disappearing when everyone's already staring at you is counterproductive. The instinctive reaction is to look for where you went and/or reach out to touch the apparently thin air you vanished into.
Would the invisibility extend to the infrared and ultraviolet spectra that electronic security systems can see? Being invisible around people is a problem, since they won't be avoiding walking through you, and RK4 has player collisions. Being invisible around animals would confuse them, as most animals aren't as visually oriented as humans and would still know you're there. Being invisible all alone is, of course, just pointless.
Would it be just your body that's invisible or your clothes or whatever you're carrying? Having to strip down to vanish makes good TV, but it's horribly inconvenient and considerably hampers the usefulness of the power if you can't make things like cameras or money or flash drives invisible.
You know what superpower I want? I want the ability to occasionally NOT overthink things.
