Personally, I rather liked having the volume control on the main page. Made it easier to twitch the volume up and down for different songs or sweeps or DJs. I had two of my listeners last week also comment that they thought the volume buttons would be better on the main page (one of them had trouble finding the buttons when he started up the player.)
