sorry i have not been on lately but i have been busy between work and college.
I hate retail during the hollidays
It makes you want to kill people.
and its only going to get worse after thanksgiveing

Nooo! Working in retail is the best you can ever do. And it turns you into a better person.

Apart from the obvious irony. Work is better than no work and education and all that.

Yeah I know how that is, I work at Gamestop and its getting crazy already.

I dunno... I always miss the craziness of a major retailer between November and January. The day flies by sooo fast when you're walking around in confusion helping anyone who can grab your attention long enough. Not to mention watching people getting into fights over that toy every kid wants but there isn't enough of, when I was in retail it was Pokemon gameboy games and we had to call the police on a couple of mothers. lol. Sure beats the excitement of security work watching an auto lot where nobody ever tries to steal vehicles... warmer inside too, mostly. *curses loopy Michigan weather*

btw: good luck on making it out alive, hope you're not working the customer service desk...especially on December 26th!

Yeah, the time does pass by fast, and there is always something going on, but i hate the stress and missing my friends

and as far the the thefts go i work in spencer's gifts so theft is daily

then again i guess i am lucky to be the stockbitch less people to deal with unless i some how get stuck on register

I have been in retail for a long time and I always try to get rested up during July/Aug because the holidays will suck the life outta you! LOL

I have started to carry candy canes in my pocket during December and when I have an angry customer I just give them one before they ever say a word, works like a charm.
