As for me...

I just installed a new stereo in my car...having no prior electrical experience...Was worried about half way through when I couldn't get the power to come on. (No, it isn't as simple as "plug it in Dani" ... so poo on you! ) BUT! Dani prevails!! New car stereo successfully installed!!

Most recent was probably installing my air conditioner. It wasn't a techie thing, it was a physical thing. Now I'm not the strongest chick in the world, nor do I know a whole lot about tools. But I managed to do this, even despite the fact that my window set-up made it impossible to do by the directions provided. I had to litterally dump out all the parts provided and come up with a creative solution to my problem. The air conditioner had been in and fine and running beautifully all summer long.

Almost had another success story, but it was more like a near miss. My son and his friend were rough housing the way teenage boys doy and my son's glasses broke. I'm currently not insured, so I figure I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and get new frames. Pearl tells me that it will cost around $120 just to replace the frames. The lenses were specially designed to fit these particular ones and so they can't just snap the lenses into just any old frame. Niiiiice. So, I have an idea. I go to Sears, buy a soldering iron and solder for $10 and get to work. I've never soldered a damn thing in my life. At first it was beautiful. I was so damn proud of myself!! The repair lasted about a day.

I was gonna have my Dad install my stereo, but I went over there (sans a piece I needed) and he was pretty condescending about my life and my car...namely the cleaning job I did on my car. And I did pretty dang good. So...I said to heck with him!! Don't need him to do that, I'll do it myself and show him I'm a competent human being!

MMM now lets see I have had some great ones lately here goes...

I managed to Tie my own shoes and bend over and touch my toes.

I beat my 6 yr old grandaughter at old maids and she cheets

But all kidding aside I have managed to stay on my Diet and take my Meds on schedual ...loseing an average of 2 to 4 pounds per week...and
Feeling good about not giveing up...

Jugs, that's awesome! I wish I could stay on a diet. But they are doing a Weight Watchers program at work...and I've signed up. And I hope that helps. What you do, with staying on a diet and making sure your stay on your meds, is a big achievement. I'm terrible at stuff like that! Well done!

Oh Dani yes the Diet im staying with is the Weight watchers program it does work and its the best as far as results go as long as you follow it and eat the points your told you lose its awsome...I am never hungry I eat anything i relly want and useually im trying to find something to eat at night to make sure i eat my right amount if i dont eat enough i dont lose weight... I know sounds flakey to me too but you have to eat to lose the weight or your body thinks its starving nd stores fat... so just go to those meetings and watch the pounds go away... Huggles and i have lots of them to watch go bye bye

Yeah...I have lots of them to watch go bye bye too...about 170 or so.

Thanks Val and Dani... you know I never worried about my gaining weight I was healthy and happy and it never affected me in any way...The Doc sys now either lose the weight or Die ...he wants me to have an operation to reduce my stomach * not sure if i want to do that*..The younger you are it seems the easier it is to lose so im told but It is not quick You dont gain it all at once so you cant lose it all at once (except with this surgery 90percent weight loss in one yr....I recomend Weight watcher to anyone really It is a slow and steady process that works as long as you stick with it and make a few perma changes...I have made only a few drastic changes in eating 1...I never eat Butter any more..2.No carbonted Beverages and only diet drinks with Splenda mostly Crystal light...lots of bottled water..nothing fried and less bread...Those few things alone will cause a weight loss for anyone...and it is why most of us gain in the first place..Unless your one of the lucky ones that can eat any thng and never gain (high metabolism) I envy you

I heard about a diet on the radio that they guaranteed to work. They called it the "no-food diet". basically, it consists of glasses of water. But you can have lots of them. and if you start to feel hungry, help yourself to a bowl of ice. But you get as much ice and water as you want. the downside is having to pee every 10 minutes...

Disclaimer: dont actually try this diet. (some people dont understand sarcasm....)
