make up my mind for me

As everyone knows GSP listeners are some of the most uber players around :P so i got a AO question. Someone please make up my mind for me. I'm terrible at making decisions. Right now I'm using creation weapons, and i'm starting to doubt that decision. I just don't know. I'm looking for some advice on what weapon to pick. Right now i'm looking at alien pistols. They will have to be alien pistols because i don't want to have to raise skills like fling shot or any of the other ranged specials.

If he is asking about creation weapons, he has to be a Meta-Physicist. Ive never played one to past level 10 or so lol but I do know that I havent seen a single high level MP using creation weapons. They might be fine for lower levels, but Id advise against em for higher levels based on what Ive seen.

Okay, when it comes to MP's I R Teh Suck. I would stay away from the Alien weapons for a bit tough, at least till 50 and you have more managable ip. Even then, don't MP's have pets? So shouldn't yoy be more concerned with the meatballs that you are going to have rather than using weapons?

Weapons, shmeapons. I play a metaphycisist (Incompleet, L114 when I write this) and I'd like to believe I'm doing so fairly well. As for weapons? My personal advice is... forget them. They're just too expensive, IPwise - which is why I fight with leet dolls. They require no skill whatsoever, they look cool and they're not all that expensive. I do have some 1hb skill, but in general I'd only raise it when the stuff that's important to me - nano skills, nano programming, comp lit, pharmaceuticals etc - are maxed due to title level caps.

However, if you do insist on using weapons, someone did suggest using bows if I have AI when I first made my meta... so I'm guessing the alien crossbow is good. Me, I'd rather just rely on an attack pet so mean I can't even see what level it is. (I've been told it's L179. I'll have to take their word for it.)

Another reason why I don't fight: I'm a nanomage. I use Odin's Missing Eye. All of this equals SQUISHY. Aggro = bad. Maybe if I was a 'trox MP, but I'm not.

Hi there

If you want to go the Pistol route, you should do yourself the favour and invest IP into flingshot and burst, and get some upgrades slapped on those pistols, it'll work wonders for your damage output.

I don't know how high Quality level pistols you'll be able to equip as a Metephycisist, but check out A QL 300 Kyr'ozch Pistol - Type 1. With enough flingshot skill you'll be able to get around 6 seconds Flingshot recharge, or there about.
If you chose to pair it up with another pistol, I'd advice you to get A QL 300 Kyr'ozch Pistol - Type 4 for the added burst special.

In the endgame, you should be able to sit on full defence with a 15% Alien scope on, and still shoot these babies at a rate of 1/1.

Otherwise, you could consider the Bow Route with options like:
QL 300 Clan Turn spirit weapon; Seraph Bow
And the omni version: Bow of Solace.
And a shadowlands drop: Bow of the Tripple Nimbus (ql 300) (The lower QL versions of this bow are called Bow of the Double Nimbus).
Something to notice about these bows is their speed. They're slow as *insert nasty comparison of your own preference*.

Hope this gave some food for thought.

Best wishes

Kwautrawn.

Well Neko is a lvl 91 MP she started with a Bow it did ok but I quickly found no matter what the Pets where my best weapon so I stopped putting any skills into weapons and worked on higher pets and I do pretty good with that.

Just my 2 cents

One of the higher level MPs I know has used a bow for a long time. Not sure the name, but I think at least a few bows have no other req than bow skill so it's cheap to let you use points for other stuffs.

Otherwise you could always ask yourself "What would Teh Deacon do?"

Of course the answer would involve foot fetishes, so maybe that's not the best route to fick a weapon...
