Going away

No, no, not leaving the game, silly!

I'm heading to the Delaware shore for the weekend. :)

Wish I could take you all with me.

...well... maybe not all of you.

But some of you anyway. You know who you are. :)

That phrase seems to me to invoke a certain tone/image

"You know who you are" ::spouts the crochety old school marm slapping the ruler in her hand while pacing about the classroom glaring at the frightened 2nd Graders::

Well you're probably right. Perhaps I should replace it with something better like:

*huggles* Have fun in Delaware, m'lady! :)

In the words of Wayne & Garth:

"Wow. I'm in....Delaware."

:)

I live in Delaware.

Yeah. People actually live here. :)

Without actually leaving the state, a trip to the shore is about as much fun as we can expect to have. So I'm sure I'll have fun.

Of course since you can go through the whole state, end-to-end, in just about 2 hours time, its not like its a real big deal to actually leave the state either. :) But its the time of the year when the ocean starts to call to me, so the shore it is. :)

Hee hee I travel through Delaware on the way to the ocean once a year. My anual migration starts a bit later than yours though... like September-Octoberish when there's a nice bite in the air and the dolphins play near the shore near sunset.

I guess its because I grew up three miles away from a coastline, but I can not imagine living anywhere where I'd be entirely landlocked. Not being able to see the ocean whenever I felt like it?

Oh, thats so never going to happen.

o.O why did I think you lived in--

Nevermind. I feel dumb enough already. My bad. :)

I'm more like 85 miles away (100 miles to where I'm actually heading for the weekend), but I feel the exact same way.

Boo, mmmmm :) After the tourists and while the water is still warm enough to put your feet in, sitting on a sand chair with a good book and stopping to watch the dolphins. *sigh* It doesn't get much better. :)

And Tarryk, ok, now I have to know: Where did you think I lived?

Don't scare me with a topic title like that again, Valli! It's mean!

Enjoy your time on the beach. I just wish we had better beaches here in Texas. When we were in Canada, we lived on Lulu island, so I miss being able to see the ocean every day.

Arizona. Don't ask, because I don't know. No, I mean it, I don't know.

I believe you. Since the 2 states are absolutely nothing alike, I can't possibly have ever said anything that would indicate Arizona in any way.

What I find really amusing about this though, is that not too long ago I posted about how we had a whale in the Delaware River (actually up there in NJ, but had to come by this way on his way from the ocean). Whales - in Arizona!

I don't care who you are, that's funny right there. :)

I did have a great time. We worked hard during the day doing spring cleaning and get the boat in the water, then we had a huge meal and got drunk. :) At some point we talked about popping open the champaign in honor of the boat launching, but we were all too sloshed to worry about it. :)

Definately would love to meet you sometime, Jugs!
