Damn, this is so true! I didnt have an issue with that at all.

Its really weird, Im having to learn to read again - japanese. It's so strange going through the process of learning new alphabets consciously, in a very different way to learning to read as a child.

But I start picking out words in japanese now, and sometimes picking out words wrong because my eyes do only scan the text and not actively read it.
