Happy Thanksgiving to you all from Ungoliant

I am sitting here in my nice comfy chair and wishing I could watch the 78th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade when it comes on... I will not be able to..... someone please watch it for me. I'm drinking hot cocoa with cinnamon and pondering, hoping I along with each of the men in my Unit makes it back to enjoy a somewhat Thanksgiving-like dinner later today. :(
*Deep breath*
I personally want to wish each and everyone of you a warm and happy Thanksgiving Day and it is my heartfelt wish and prayer that you all are safe, happy, most of all loved and surrounded by loved ones, friends, and family.

In a way I am spending this Thanksgiving Day alone as I have quite a few, I am not entirely alone as I have my fellow brethren in the Marine Corp here with me.
"For those of you who have children, a girlfriend/boyfriend, wife/husband... hold them close at some point on this day.. please do so and not take it for granted."
Thanksgiving is a special American holiday -- a holy day -- with a bittersweet history... for we recognize the irony associated with this remembrance day -- the fact that the good fortune of so many has been due to the contributions of others -- sometimes freely, sometimes not freely, given. :cry:

How can we reconcile the abundance of food, the fellowship of family and guests, the health and power of body and mind, and our joy and good feeling... with the enormous historical fabric of events, with so many tragic threads, that has led to this day?

Thank you for surviving and continuing to live Ungoilant, and thank you for completing a duty that many shrik at the thought of. You guys deserve the turkey and food we'll be taking for granted. But thank you for your presence on the forums. Thank everyone for their presence here.

Thank you Ungoliant. I'd hug ya but your marine buddies would laugh. :D

Damnit, no more tours!! It really breaks my heart to hear you say that, and im crawling around under my desk trying to find the peices but I dont think I will.

Eat well, because you'll be alive if you read this eh? And I salute you once again for forfeiting your freedom to protect ours. Too much to ask for from anyone but your kicking ass none the less.

That song is so beautiful it brings a tear to even my eyes. That is the song I'd love to have played at my funeral after the 21 gun salute. Gladiator is also one of my all time favorite movies, a definite must have in a true movie afficianado's collection.
