Well the topic says it all. I'm looking for someone that can help me design a nice looking web page. I'm not some person looking for a fancy flash web site (But hay that would be cool to add in), but what I am looking for is someone that can make a web site with a nav bar down the left side, a title along the top, and content in the rest of the area while looking nice.

When I say nice here are a few that I consider nice...

http://www.skotos.net/
http://www.anarchy-online.com/
http://www.gridstream.org/
http://www.anarchyarcanum.com/
http://www.nethack.de/
http://www.coh.com/

Here are some that I think are nice, and would be all right but aren't what I said above in some way shape or form.

http://www.clan-assembly.org/ (Nav along top instead of along left side)
http://linguists.riedl.org/old/ (Easily readable, perhaps a bit to simplistic for me though)

Here is one that I realy dislike in it's set up...

http://home.t-online.de/home/mc_sam/Kat/index.html

And the reason I will list.

  • While I like sites that use frames I believe that frames should not be visible to the user (So two scroll bars is a no no to me if the left side needs to scroll it should scroll with the rest of the page)
  • The title is grainy, and doesn't have smooth lines.
  • The counter should be at the bottom
  • The background is boring (but at least it's not a busy background that doesn't tile)
  • It uses two languages for the links (If it wants to do that it should have an option at the very top of the links that lets you pick your language instead of showing them both at the same time)
  • The site was posted up and put as a link on the Sims 2 website, without having any content that it's supposted to have (IE: Real Estate for Sims 2)
  • The links that you get when you click the links link are poorly orginized.

Anyways the list goes on... But I think you see what I'm talking about. If I wanted a site I could make one myself, but I want a good site that looks nice and professional. If you would like to help me make one feel free to email me at poxsonm_at_gmail_dot_com

I'll go into more detail about what I want out of a website to the people that email me.
