I took the picture a couple of weeks ago. We live close to a reservoire (nice name for a swamp) and I guess this guy got tired of being wet, so he went for a walk.

I used to work in Tampa, FL and the office building I was in had a couple of ponds. The largsest one had a pretty big gator in it that liked to walk around the lawn when it wasn't eating ducks.
The state law, as I understood it, prohibited anyone from moving or otherwise disturbing the thing because it was protected under endangered species laws -- even though it lived in the pond of an office building in the middle of Tampa.

But you were free to feed it ducks weren't ya?
