I have thought a long time about theese contest and how they can be won honestly and un biased by even th4 newest of contestants. I purposly have set out or left before dance contest are done so i can log on with alts unknown toothers and observe theese contest; it seems to me that judgeing is not always done on the best of dancers but on the popularity of them. So you ask how do you fix that well to let three judges pick the winner would be good if they didnt knw the contestants in any way so thats out right . This is what i came up with as fair to all let me know wht you all think.

The contest starts and one dancer at a time dances for one min.

the other contestants watch and they judge the dancer that is on at the time .

Rateing the dancer 1---5 in pts as that dancer finishes the point are tallyed the next dancer dances and rated by the others on his or her dance.

when all dancers have finsihed thier round of dance the point speak for thier selves.

The 5 highest scores are the finalist and they will dance again for a 2 min dance. the contestants all of them vote on the finealist with the same rateing 1---5. this shuld give the winner or final three.

In the case of a Tie the two willdance side by side and again rated by the contestants to determin the winner; well to me this is fair and unbiased judgeing so wht do you think.

I have to agree with you, Jugs. I've felt for some time that some contestants in some of the contests I've either watched or participated in have not gotten the notice or places they deserved. The last one was a perfect illustration of this. Two of the male dancers didn't place at all, though I felt they did a better job than any of the winners, myself included.

I also feel that more emphasis is put on what the female contestants wear (or more often not) than on their dancing ability (or lack of). I think that's pretty sad, considering there are some few extremely talented dancers who aren't either female or half naked and didn't sign up for a beauty contest.

As for popularity... well I know that it would take away any advantage I have by my popularity (god knows WHY you people like me so much), but personally I prefer to win on the merits of my floorwork rather than by the dubious priveledge of being "somebody". I'm a damned good dancer. It should be my dancing that makes or breaks me in a dancing contest.

Yeah, I sound a little bitter. No, I don't intend the least amount of modesty. And, yeah, the tone is kinda harsh.

But you know what? I think it's merited.

I have to agree with both of you on dancing contests, that's why I usually don't run those. However, I've said before I'm a biased DJ and I can be bribed or otherwise corrupted so I've got the means to make my contests even stupider than before. The good news there is that nearly all of my contests are either everybody wins, or half the people win and the rest win the next time. Might not be huge amounts, but at least you win something. lol I've always had issues with very large amounts of credits being given out to one or two people in a night.

I figure it's kinda like the lotto. You win, you're set for a very long time unless you blow everything. You don't win.. well, you get to see the other guy run off to the bank laughing. Usually there are a lot more the latter than the former, which is why I do everyone wins contests when I do one of my rare shows.
