There's only one BIG problem... The only one I have is EQ... And I've been at the registration screen 7 times in 5 min now... Only narrowly avoiding the dire fate... But I MUST play som'n...
Any ideas?... Any at all, I just need dark arts and magic... I NEED MAGIC!!!

Garh! It's never been this bad... :(
I'm worried... I don't want to get sucked back into that hell hole... I really don't...

Please help...

Install an old D&D classic, like Pools of Radiance or Curse of the Azure Bonds.

Garaunteed to cure you of any need to ever play fantasy games within 6 hours.

Baldur's Gate is not a D&D classic. I mean a REAL classic, back when computer games meant something (and could truly fry your brain). EoB1, CoAB, or PoR.

If that doesn't work, try Ultima 4, 5, or 6. Those will kill the itch as well. :)

Don't have PoR no more... gave it away as I got tired of it within 2 min...
Gah!... And don't have ultima...
God... Why do people get addicted to online games?
And why have they never made the one I want?

Oh come now... Age of wonders is a mockery of "heroes of might and magic" and it's a bad one at that!

And what I'm.. Desireing... So to speak, is a MMORPG... Which is what the panic is about!
I don't want to be sucked into EQ again... But it's the only one I can think off... :(

I did consider it... tho I heard some pretty... well, not quite so flattering things about it...
I also considered FFXI, but honestly, I'm not about to pay 60 quid (quid = pound for those who don't speak brit) for it, only to find I don't like it...
60 quid... that's like 6 times what AO cost here... It's MAD!

chill, CHILL!! i got a cure here. this is the amazing riviques cure for the need of a videogame. first thing is first, get yourself some nilla waffers, some jolt cola, and a helluva nice relaxing place to sit. now, think of kinda game u wanna play. here is your list.

survival horror - silent hill 3
spy espionage - metal gear solid 2
action - contra: shattared soldier
fps - halo (duh)
rpg - elder scrolls 3: morrowind

so, go get yourself some of those. they dont have to be payed monthly either, bitchen eh? (morrowind feels very very much like a mmorpg. ull like it).

Sorry, I've played moron-wind and... well, I take it you can guess what I think of it?
As to FPS... Alien vs Pred is the ONLY game!!! :P (I'm an aline fanboy... can't help it!)

That aside, the problem is, I wanna play a MMORPG... I like the world, the exploration, the meeting people, the interaction... Somehow, single player games only evolve so much... Ever heard of a single player game, that had it's own radio?

I just like the mystical stuff... Hence the fantasy...
I'm kinda dead on AO. I simply cannot find my liking for it anymore... It's become trivial, and when that happens (for the 3rd time) you know you should have just left it at that last time you moved out!

Have you tried Asheron's Call? or Asheron's Call 2?

Dark Age of Camelot...
SWG...
any of those?

If not try them... I presonally thought that DAoC was a little dual, but if you want something to not suck you in but still feed your addiction, DAoC just might do it

Well. I like single player offline games. esp adventure ones.
Pick up a classic like Bladerunner (awsome).
Or the best Star Wars game out there. Knights Of tHe Old Republic (KOTOR) I'd be tempted to say the best GAME out there based on the D20 rules. The story is just awsome, the character interaction (between the characters) are both hilarious, romantic, creepy and more.
And the plot is way better than the SW prequels indeed.
This is how SWG should have been lol.
