Hey all!

I actually need some help from the greatness that is the GSP community.

I have been "volunteered" to write a periodic column for a website (based on Final Fantasy XI, but it will really be about whatever comes to mind), and I need to make up a name for my column. Im totally at a loss for what to name the column (im never good at this kind of stuff), so being a member of this (slightly) insane and highly creative community.. help!

Does anyone have any ideas as to what to name this column? As I said, its going to be mostly random thoughts that come to mind, along with an occasional game guide/review stuff.

Few ideas off the top of my head:

The Tantamount

Personal Mana (based on FF, anyway)

The Opinions Within

Cloud's Sword (if you plan on being a bit of a rough opinionizer)

How about "the Shard" (from waaay back in the day where Cyrstals used to be so very important in FF games)

Or Chocobo's Corner

Or Sid's Chat (being that there is a SID in very FF game)

As a writer, I would write the title after the artical was writen. That's normally what writers do anyway. It's easier to write the premiss of your story/artical than it is to craft your paper around a title.

"The Depths of Dolphins" may or may not be about dolphins. It may be totally symbolic for a space journey where the lead character peaks out in untold wisdom, intelligence, and philosophy. But try writing about THAT with "The Depths of Dolphins" being your starting point. ^_^;

With that said, I nominate "The Depths of Dolphins" since you said it was going to be random thoughts, albeit about FFXI. But still, let the children try to see the inner beauty of that one. Maybe they'll find hidden wisdom, and be better for it.

More names, (I havn't even looked at FFXI, and I've only played FF7, 6, half of 8 before it changed pace, and renounced the rest.)

And I dont think my Linkshell (FFXI version of an org) would go for "Firia Rocks", even tho it is true.

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy! ^_^ by Douglas Adams. If you ~just~ called it Don't Panic, then you're basicly taking a vein from HHGttG books.

Hindsight says I shouldn't have suggested that one. ^_^ Meh.

yes, I know about the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy... im re-reading it right now, actually. (I found a paperback version of all 4 books in the series)

There is a reference in AO.. why not in FFXI? hehe

anyway, I did decide on the name, along with the advice of a few friends... I named it "The Shard". Alot of my Linkshell are fans of old-school FF games, and it just seemed to fit.
