Yea.... i went to a White Stripes concert last night at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, MA and it was AWESOME!!! the music was great and got me thinking why the DJs dont play it.

(cept for Seven Nation Army i have heard that a few times) but yea... i would love it if you could also get

The White Stripes are pretty cool. they're just sorta hit and miss in terms of likability for some people, and the GSP dj's are no different. ^_^ Though I know for a fact that Tarryk would be more than willing to obliege your request.

I have some of the songs off the Seven Nation Army album, but playing White Stripes is a fickle matter (to me). This is not because of taste...as it stands, I absolutely adore White Stripes, they totally rock.

The problem is that their music uses analog recording. While I would never have guessed that this would be an issue, there is one. You see, played directly from the CD, they sound great. But when you compress a White Stripes song into mp3 format, something happens that messes with the levels within the songs. They sound mushy, and low-quality, and that's not helped when squeezed through a 56k audio stream.

I have yet to find a decent way around this. It took me an hour to readjust the levels in "Seven Nation Army" so that it at least sounded decent over the stream. I'll look into it a bit more.

Now I like the White Stripes quite a bit, but seriously, some of their songs it's not gonna matter much - the ones that are all screeching guitars might even be a bit easier on the ears... :wink:
