Oh man.. Ok. I laugh cause Tarryk is on to something. Granted, I have my own ideas of sexuality and genderism, and I'll get into that in a second. But Tarryk was definately stating what was on my mind.
Homosexuals have often said they always knew their sexual preferance. I belive it, because I feel I've always know. I've questioned a few times and been curious to what it would be like to explore outside of my preferances, but for the most part I've known.
I'm of the belief that if current society (religion, government, media, social stigma, etc) didn't treat homosexuality like it was such a big thing, and treated it like hetrosexuality, I bet that we'd hear more about middle school same-sex crushes.
Before middle school, perhaps though less likely. I know I had silly crushes when I was in elementry. But they were just little infatuations. I also had more on my mind than the average stuent back when, but that's another story.
However... Preschool. I had no concept of Gender, sexual preferance, or anything back when ~I~ was in preschool. I used to watch Transformers and My little Pony. I wanted a remote control monster truck and a Barbie play house. (The Last Unicorn was teh smack cool.

)
Now, I'm not going to say ~I~ equal all children of my age at the time. But I couldn't even fathom sexual preferance back when. I cannot belive that a friend in preschool would be homosexual then. I can belive
~questioning~ in 8th grade. I will accept that. But I cannot belive that even now your 8th grade buddy has it all figured out.
And that doesn't even touch on why you're hurt. I won't rant about that cause, well, tarryk beat me to the punch. SO I'll summerise my thoughts on experaincing emotional greif based on a persons sexual orientation; Wtf?
Though I'm glad your 8th grade is going swimmingly.
