WHY MEN ARE JUST HAPPIER PEOPLE

I know, you've probably already gotten this email...but for those that didn't, it's pretty humorous...and for the most part, disturbingly accurate.

WHY MEN ARE JUST HAPPIER PEOPLE

What do you expect from such simple creatures!?
Your last name stays put.
The garage is all yours.
Wedding plans take care of themselves.
Chocolate is just another snack.
You can be president.
You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park.
You can wear NO T-shirt to a water park.
Car mechanics tell you the truth.
The world is your urinal.
You never have to drive to another gas station because this one's just
too icky.
You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt.
Same work, more pay.
Wrinkles add character.
Wedding dress - $5000; tux rental - $100.
People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them.
The occasional well-rendered belch is practically expected.
New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet.
One mood, ALL the time.
Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat.
You know stuff about tanks.
A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase.
You can open all your own jars.
You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness.
If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.
Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack.
Three pairs of shoes are more than enough.
You almost never have strap problems in public.
You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes.
Everything on your face stays its original color.
The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades.
You only have to shave your face and neck.
You can play with toys all your life.
Your belly usually hides your big hips.
One wallet and one pair of shoes, one color, all seasons.
You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look.
You can do your nails with a pocketknife.
You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache.
You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives, on December 24, in 45
minutes.

No wonder men are happier!

No kidding. >.<

I think I'll work to adopt some of those, well more of those. I gave up the dressy women's shoe thing a long time ago.

*wriggles her toesies*

Buuuut I'm gonna have to pass on the wearing no top to the park. :P

Same work, more pay.

That's the only one I don't get/disagree with. Unless this list was compiled in the 50's. :)

A lot of that is very true.. some is just so very wrong lol!!

"The world is your urnial." - Very true, sometimes unintentionally.
"One mood, ALL the time." - Very untrue, that's why there is beer.

Mmm, that's still the case in some places (in the states anyway). Some women don't recive equal pay for equal work when on par with men. Even above par.

But other than that, *LMAO!!*
I wear white to parks. ^_^

Interesting. First I've heard of it. Hell, my boss sits around and doesn't do shit while I work my ass off, and she makes about 10 times more than I do.

EDIT-IN: I am very curious, though. I'd like to know some areas of the United States where this is still a practice. I was under the not-so-crazy assumption that sex discrimination was highly illegal.

But other than that, *LMAO!!*

Werd.

I wish I could give specific examples other than "belive me. It's still out there," but I don't know where exactly this brand of discrimination is still prominant. I just know that in some places it still is.

And descrimination is pretty illegal. ^_^ But someplaces just don't care, or they're a bit behind the times. Hit some of the southern states for examples.

I work uber hard, and guys that do half the work make more than me. Then again, that really large woman that talks on the phone most of her work day and gets nothing done, she makes more than most of them too.
Yeah yeah, I'm new there. that's way everyone else makes more than me. ;) It's not decrimination. ;)

Actually, we have normal parks around here. You can wear white and be ok. I don't even know what a water park is.

Thats what I thought at first, a normal park (with trees...and grass! Like around reets! O_o), but looking back, I considered by what was said, you meant a water park.

Well Tarryk, Northern Virginia has a real problem with it. A lot of places get away with it by using policies forbidding talking about your wages with your co-workers. Of course, this doesn't ALWAYS prevent us gossipy little wenches from discussing it anyways. It just keeps us from being able to do anything about it through legal channels.

I've been in the tech industry for over a decade and I've discovered that women with similar qualifications and experience or better than that of their male coworkers earn from $1 to $10 less an hour less. We also tend to be promoted less quickly for doing the same or better work than our male co-workers. This is taken from my experiences in a number of the more prominent bandwidth providers.

TECHNICALLY paying less to equally qualified females is illegal. In practice, it's anybody's ballgame. At least it is in 'right-to-work' states like Virginia that are set up to favor employers rather than the workers.

*shrugs*

Anyway.

Two more reasons men are happier people than women.

Men don't have the monthly visit from their 'little red friend'.
Men never get pregnant.
