I'd say yes I can help, but not really without seeing the plug choices for the speakers and those for the sound card. Care to take a couple cam shots?

EDIT: btw, good job on getting Altec Lansing's. In that price range and even a couple ranges above it, they are the best, hands-down.

Itll be about a week.

My dad took our Digi.Cam to New Hampshire (we're moving soon, he's already working) and doesnt bring it back =/ Im begging for a new one., but I might just have to nag and plead.

I attached the sound cards manual, but its not helpin much.

Ok.. I'm a little confused. Did a bit of poking around, and I didn't find anything on a SB Live 5.1 Platinum card. There's a SB Live 5.1, and a SB Audigy 2 Platinum. I got a couple pics here, which one does your's look like? From the manual, I'm guessing the top one.. which is the SB Live 5.1.

I've got an Altec Lansing 5.1 setup...subwolfer, surround sound bit. Sound Card is a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz thingy ma jig that looks just like that Creative Labs card that Kyrros posted a pic of. It came with a little chart that shows you the several different ways to hook it up, but I just plugged stuff in until the bass started making zombies come out of the ground and asking what the hell was going on........or maybe that was the neighbors. Hope that helps :P

Theres only one plug on my sound card that makes ANY sound come out. Even then, its fuzzy.

Well, I just caught myself playing pokemon on my gameboy hooked up to the speakers, so I've isolated the problem to the problem to the sound card. Probably drivers. If ANYONE has the driver CD for a Sound Blaster Live 5.1, can they like attach a zip with all the files in it or something? I really need this... Wanna listen to TnT tommorow =D

If youre wondering why I need it, my parents lost my CD with the drivers... (they were cleaning up my room, were moving in a little while, selling hte house)

Do you have your soundblaster set to Digital or Analog, and are you speakers digital or analog ones? If you're using digital, just use the single orange mic jack. If it's analog, you plug into the black and green mic jacks and connect those to your subwoofer. That should do it. Oh, and make absolutely sure you uninstall your old drivers before installing the ones Gridfan posted. Creative's known for weird crap that happens unexpectedly if you don't wipe the slate clean.
