Shadowlands Blueprint #3 by rpgvault.ign.com wrote:Fans Taking Action
When writing an article about the music and audio in Anarchy Online, we would also like to mention Gridstream, one of the most fantastic conceptions to come out of AO, and the sounds in it. Gridstream surfaced completely without our help and intention, but has proved one of the most popular community features in the game.

GridStream Productions (http://www.gridstream.com.) is a player organization originally conceived two years ago by "Tarryk" Kozar to group together Internet DJs who broadcast a virtual radio station for the world of Anarchy Online. Using internet radio software and a legal third-party broadcaster (live365.com), GSP net-casts live DJs and music almost every night in various bars and clubs located throughout the world of Rubi-Ka on the Atlantean dimension. The project is still going strong and has been incredibly successful in enhancing the role-playing experience in Anarchy Online. They also offer their services to other players and organizations that would like live DJs at their events. As far as we know, Anarchy Online is the only game that offers this. What they will do when Shadowlands launches remains to be seen, but it serves as an example that Anarchy Online is so much more than just Funcom.

About damn time someone made mention of you guys. Whenever I read about AO in magazines, I always find myself a little annoyed that they don't mention GSP. Hell, you guys are the best addition to the game, and we didn't even have to wait for a patch!

I mean, when you have players who completely shun leveling and/or pvp for parties, something wacky's going on.

Yeah, I'm definitely very happy about that mention, it was way more than they needed to say.

We're all happy-proud at GSP now. :D
