www.hackersquest.com check out AO forum.
Look for IGN bot (one of the best out there now. and yeah better that gridbot lol) a nice starting point. supports plugins.

I need to know how to make the bot do math and how to make the but make an OOC announcement when i tell it to.

use the built in help of that bot, I think the author has a manual ready about now too...

There were also some small resources at
http://www.kuren.org/ao. You should be able to find the source for Helpbot there.. I don't remember what language it was written in though.
