As the Man with a Million Alts(or Million Alt Man), I think I can answer this well.

Enforcer's damned useful. Really. Hell, even a solitus one can take damage like no one's business... Almost any team will welcome at least one enforcer...it seems that an enforcer and a doctor are the two foundations to most teams. The other four are usually variable... Also, enforcers seem to be able to solo well thanks to their inability to die. Just remember, after a fight, it's kind of a pain to heal back ALL that hp...

Fixer is just fun for me. I admit usually I'm not too sought after with the fixer, but I've yet to actually be turned down. Really, the main draw to being a fixer is that your hots and evades tend to make it seem like you're a lot more durable than you really are...which is always fun. I think the main draw for me about a fixer is the style...I mean, it's a futuristic not-quite-cyberpunk setting... This is the hacker. A hacker with a machinegun. Yet it can be played completely unlike a hacker...in reference, I'm sure Spike Spiegal(from Cowboy Bebop) would have been a fixer, and he's sure as hell no hacker.

I guess it really comes down to what kind of image you want your character to have... If you like the idea of an unstoppable force of nature, overwhelming in its sheer power and almost immortal in its tenacity...then yeah, go enforcer. If you like the idea of a quick shifty fellow who has more contacts than he has legal business offers, go fixer.

Well what ELSE could that guy be? I mean, he's got uber contacts, he's got a self destructive view on life, he pilots stuff really well, the guy dodges bullets like no one's business...

Though, I can't picture him in grid armor. Nope.

Hell, I use "Pushing the Sky" from the CB movie as my unofficial boss theme when playing the fixer.

Jet is not an engineer, dude...I'd say he's a soldier more than anything else. Now, I once made an engineer of B-ko from Project A-ko..*that* was fun.

Hrm... Jet used to be a cop then he went rouge and turned into a bounty hunter. He's got a fake ARM because he got shot in the line of duty...he doesn't see combat much, but I can't see him building robots in his spare time...
Although he does work on his ship... but so does spike... and he's certainly not an enjie

I'd have to go with soldier too o.O;;

Fixer not sought after???

Well, I must say, either you are a Poor Fixer or you have gimp teams. Most pepel nowdays want a good fixer on a team. Why?? Hots...runbuffs...crowd control (pulling rooting...were good at if if were smart). Most important: Evac. e can literlaly pull the bacon out of the fire if they shyt hits the fan. And we can pull the whole team out fast.

Most teams I know never turn one down, unless ther camping Ub3r Mobs with 10 teams of 6 *coaugh* Storm *cough*

Yes..Im biased :P However, I have never been turned donw in a team for a mission, Because I am the Safty Net. THe one who saves everyones ass if it hits the fan. And I play like this. I watch everyone else..I root and snare and throw my skinny arse in front of the 40 ft tall enforcer to keep him from smashing the Doc to Goo. And I can pull aggro from most damn near anyone else..incuding Enforcers at times.

I die allot. If your a fixer, get used to it. Its a way of life. Byt a REAL fixer will lya his own scrawny body on the line to save another teamate. The oens who give us a bad names are the ones who Ninja loot...tank...run off on theri own. THose are bad ones. A smart ones stick twards the rear and protects the weaker memebrs.

What I meant by not sought after was that I never see "Team of five, looking for fixer!" Also, I agree that I've never been turned down.

Only problem is that my nanos are heavily gimped...I mean HEAVILY. At level 80 I finally reached the point where I could self buff myself into casting team grid phreak. That's ok though...I can just come up with IC reasons. That's what I love; you can cover your weaknesses with a story in this game...

But it should be said, if an engineer and a fixer are on the same team, the rest of the team doesn't have to move an inch except for in the actual mission itself.

Hey come on...it's not that I CAN'T do it...besides, I hit 81 today with ninjas...though, I was robbed of 82 thanks to a disconnection for no apparent reason.

Bottom line; what does it matter what class you pick? GSP will stunt your levels horribly no matter what.
