Dear Michizure and everyone else who's working on Christmas goodies for AO and TSW,
GSP and friends have come up with another record breaking list of ideas for you! Not quite as much as Halloween, but 114 ideas is more than we've had for Christmas before. As usual, they were collected at GSP shows in both games and then voted on by GSP DJs and Dancers just to put them in order so I could put a little more attention into the favorites. The whole list is here, even the ones that didn't get any votes, because brainstorming. There's no telling what might spark an idea, right?
1) DJ console
This is where you can tell there were a lot of DJs involved in choosing the order to list these in. Personally, I thought this should be available year-round, but almost all of them want it for Christmas. I guess if you can't afford one for your DJ friends on RK4, you know what to get them for Christmas in-game.
Something like this -
http://www.djtools.com/maflrocadjtu.html - on a matching folding table. The turntables might be a little old-fashioned, but some folks like that, and the rest of it should be generally applicable to CDs or portable hard drives or a terabyte iPod or nano instruction discs or whatever media you might have.
In TSW, instead of a temporary decoration like the Christmas trees and jack-o-lanterns and hookahs, it would be better to have something that can be reused, since our DJs tend to play for hours at a time every week, and they'll run out of consumables pretty fast. Maybe it's a pet instead? An immobile one like the teddy bear? Then they can summon it when they're live and it vanishes when they walk away.
In AO, a deployable and reusable decoration like the Picnic Table would be good, so DJs can just keep it in their inventory and activate it when they're on air, and then just re-activate it when it expires.
In either case, it needs to appear when used in a position appropriate for you to use it, so you don't have to take a step forward, click to place it, make sure it's in a reasonable position, and then carefully position a step back behind it, not even knowing if anyone else is seeing you, or it, in the same position you see. They have enough actual buttons and controls and windows to deal with already when they're DJing. Making the DJ console continue to exist in-game shouldn't be more work every few minutes.
2) red and white thigh-high stockings
There were three different directions specific details for this went in, and we want them all. Maybe they're one changing item like AO's Wicked Tights or a variety of colors for the same clothing item, like... well... all TSW clothing. And then as I worked at those details, it evolved into a whole outfit, as such things do.
- White stockings with red lace and little mistletoe and/or Christmas tree details at the top, and a red seam with red and green holly details down the back. Like
http://www.yandy.com/Sexy-Emergency-White-Stockings-with-Red-Medic-Back-Seam.php but with more Christmassy details, and the red lace top like
https://www.funkypair.com/ml-4844-contrast-backseam-stocking/- Candy cane spiral thigh-high stockings with wide stripes like
http://expressionsgift.co.uk/ekmps/shops/expressionsgift/images/candy-stripe-thigh-high-stockings-red-and-white-%5B4%5D-19380-p.jpg not the narrow spirals or rings most of them have.
- Red stockings with white lace (or marabou) at the top and white snowflake and holly and mistletoe details like
http://www.amiclubwear.com/clothing-hosiery-aaa8-0081red.html with white and green details you can actually see, instead of red on red, and a top like
http://www.lingeriediva.com/lingerie-accessories/thigh-highs/red-thigh-high-marabou-trim Maybe white lace in AO and marabou in TSW where it can have a little bit of fluffy volume to it?
For the hip area, (Can we *please* have that lingerie layer soon so stuff like this can be separate?), three red straps on one hip and three white straps on the other that meet in a red and white striped bikini bottom. I can't find any photo reference for that on a dozen different lingerie and dancewear retailers, so I drew one. I love the way this came out, so I wouldn't mind if this was even available separately without the stockings.
For the feet, I would suggest strappy open toe red heels for the white stockings, white for the red, and either one for the candy cane. Or maybe green? Or silver? It depends on what's on top. Yes, I said open toes with stockings. It's that kind of bold and daring outfit.
There are lots of options for a top to go with it, and it kinda needs one, as the only separate top we currently have that fits the bill is the rather rare Naughty List Bikini Top. The first options that came to mind were:
- Gift Bow Pasties, just the peel off and stick on ribbon bows for Christmas Gifts, silver, green, or white would work, but I suspect red would probably be the favorite and would go with the red stockings.
- Tinsel Lei, like the one that comes with the Hula outfit, but silver, which would be my choice to go with the striped stockings
- Lacy White Bra with some red and green holly at the center gore and attachment points for the straps and an opaque mistletoe shape to the lace just where it needs to be opaque, which I think would go really well with the white stockings
- Candy Cane Triangle Bikini, same cut as the Naughty List, but diagonal red and white stripes, which might be too much candy cane stripe to go with the striped stockings, but should work with either the red or white
- Strappy Stripey Candy Cane Bra, like the one I drew here
http://forums.gridstream.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=21449&p=226775 but that would be perfect with just the matching panties and red pumps (note: red pumps are on the list separately because we have only black and white) which is getting completely away from the original suggestion. But now that I've drawn it, I think it works with the striped stockings, too. The shoes are a little tricky. I tried green, but that looks awful. It's just hard to see the silver in the lighting I had.
- or again, one chest item that can change into any of those with a click.
3) cellphone /texting idle animation (TSW)
Wasn't there a comment posted a year or two ago about a plan to make choosable skins for visible cellphones instead of talking into our sleeves like Secret Service agents? Something about the GUI design being phone-like to match the faction-issued cellphones we're all presumed to have and already emote using (with nothing in our hands) when we get phone calls from our handlers? Couldn't the phone selection just use the same interface as the sprint selection now?
And once our cellphones are visible, we should be seen using them, but not just as phones. There should be a looping idle/afk emote for texting that continues until you do something else. And an option to do that automatically when you have your map, browser, skills window, etc. up, like Elder Scrolls Online does with scrolls. It probably shouldn't interrupt other emotes, though, unless you explicitly start /texting. Opening a map while "using your phone for maps" should just change your default idle to idling with your phone.
I'm not sure the basic mechanics and animation are really a Christmas thing. That's just something TSW needs in general. But if you happen to have that straightened out by then anyway, some shiny Christmassy skins for our phones would be in order. And maybe the Christmassy phones could show holiday-appropriate texts and pics on their little screens while you're idling with them. Or if you're actually idling, not /texting, how about that old yule log image public tv was looping for Christmas music years ago?
Oh, and if we're wearing an earpiece, we should just reach up and tap it when we get a phone call instead of holding our phones to our earpiece. I can just imagine the snark attack from Geary when she calls us and gets an earful of feedback.
4) /dance_waltz (TSW)
Now that we have those magic shoes to synchronize with, we need some dances that look like we're dancing /with/ someone when we're synchronized with them. The troupe dances now are awesome, but pair dances are still a bit awkward. A waltz was the specific request, but wouldn't actually fill this need unless the leader of the team can be selected to lead the dance and the partner can follow in a complimentary, not identical, dance. Perhaps two separate /waltz_lead and /waltz_follow emotes. If you could think of any dances, ballroom or otherwise, to dance /with/ someone in rotational symmetry, then by all means, do that. I can't think of any other than folk circle dances, and there isn't a huge demand for that.
5) decorate the cities a little more
There are lots of little (and not so little) things that could be added to New York, London, Borealis, Rome, etc. to make the hub cities a bit more festive. AO's Christmas Trees with the presents and lights are a good start, but it's weird to have those spotlights of Christmas and nothing else around, and TSW hasn't even gotten that much yet. ARK parties often have great decorations, utilizing existing assets. They'd just have to be a bit more permanent to survive the inevitable zone crashes and server resets for a couple weeks. And have some kind of similar thing in TSW.
- snowmen (we already have three kinds in AO and at least one in TSW)
- menorahs (or those Holiday Candelabra things AO got a few years ago) or whatever's appropriate in each of the various London shops
- lights above shop doors and on signs (we have two kinds of strings Christmas Lights already in AO - TSW needs those too)
- train sets - that might be a bit more work, but would be really cute to have leets riding it, maybe in a circle around the statue in ICC - maybe set one up around the Stationmaster and his friendly Guardians in Agartha.
- Santa Hats on some of the NPCs. I can see Luella wearing one. And the girl singing karaoke in Seoul. And Aldini's nurses. And the ICC tourguides. And Penley Meer. And some assorted random generic Civilians should have seasonal apparel, too. Maybe even the Omni Unicorn guards. On top of their helmets, of course.
Any little details like that would just make it feel more like the holidays.
6) variations of the Naughty List bikini
TSW needs the Naughty List bikinis and boxers. Both games need the boxers for women and the thong for men. I wouldn't say we "need" troxies wearing bikini tops as hats, but I'm sure they'd have fun with it. More variations of the colors and patterns would be nice, too:
- green panels with red straps and white snowmen (or snowwomen, or one of each)
- white panels with green straps and symmetrical red Christmas balls
It is nice that AO has more than one Christmas bikini now, but they look very similar. You could even expand the range by adding silver to the mix and using three of the four colors.
- silver panels with red straps and holly designs and mistletoe details at the clasps, strap attachments, side-ties, etc.
- green panels with silver straps and white snowflakes, with a little bit of silver tinsel fringe
- red and white and green candy cane stripe and/or peppermint candy spiral panels with silver straps
and so on...
7) peppermint mini-dress
Like what the Rockettes wore in this "Radio City Christmas Spectacular" -
http://nypost.com/2013/11/16/rockettes-christmas-show-still-has-legs/If you can't see that clearly, it's like TSW's "Shoulderless brodaded dress, gold" but in silver with alternating thick and thin diagonal red candy cane stripes and a holly decoration at the neckline and a thick silver ruffle at the bottom that's almost a tutu. Yes, the dress ends at tutu height, so it would have to come with matching panties. Or any white or cream that's not too far off from the silver would be fine. And strappy silver high heels.
Or if you want to be just a little bit different, sheer sparkly pantyhose, and white instead of silver between the red stripes on the dress.
8) permanent Santa hat and robe (AO)
Some of us like the temporary ones, too, just because it's fun to wear a bikini under it, knowing the coat's going to suddenly vanish. I think most would prefer to have them remain, though, especially the hat. It doesn't even have to be a new design at all, just the same ones Santa Leet gives out, but without the timer. Some of us have Christmas-themed alts for various reasons and between the Unique flag and the timer, that outfit just isn't a year-round option. Maybe there could be a tradeskill process, like hacking the timer, to turn the temporary coat or hat into a permanent one.
9) Froob-friendly glow sticks
Like Kyr'Ozch Energy Rapiers, but a smaller toy version that anyone can use. Kyr'Ozch Energy Letter Openers? Butter knives? Maybe in TSW it animates like a "claw" weapon because it's short and in both hands. It's not really for fighting with, though. Maybe they come in different colors or they can change colors, like the "hand held ball of fire/magic/anima" that was on the Halloween list.
10) more tights, leggings, and yoga pants
Everything is skin tight in AO, but so much of it tries to /not/ look like tights. And TSW has very little in the way of skin tight leggings. Both games could use some skin tight, form fitting tights, leggings, and yoga pants. Solid colors like plum, rose, black, white, burgundy, fuchsia, tan, raspberry, and assorted earth tones would all be good. Prints like leopard and, especially for Christmas, candy cane stripes or snowflakes, would be nice, too.
In TSW, I'd prefer to have them on the leg slot of the hypothetical lingerie layer, so we could choose to wear a miniskirt over them, but that's not an option yet. I'm sure some would say adding a skirt is missing the whole point, but it should be an option. Perhaps for now they could be a standard leg slot item and move to the lingerie layer later?
In AO, they'd obviously be a leg item, but could they set the foot default to match, so we don't have to wear boots over them all the time? Maybe slippers or low shoes. Sneakers, even. Anything that can extend the hem down to the ankle. Capris are so 29479.
11) mistletoe micro-kini
Skimpier than the mistletoe print variant of the "Naughty List" bikini, because instead of four triangles and some string, this one's just little clusters of leaves and berries, like AO's Deep Ocean swimsuit, but even skimpier than that and more seasonal. Or different season, anyway. Something a cross between Miiir and the Australian bikini company Wicked Weasel (
http://www.wickedweasel.com) would design for a hot summery Christmas in Australia or Rubi-Ka. In AO maybe it's a set of Shade tattoos infused with some shady kind of "Christmas spirit" so the rest of us can wear it.
In TSW, maybe it's alternate pasties and thong instead of default black and silly smiley faces. Maybe some mistletoe infested those slightly glowy vines that grow out of Agartha and we had to prune some of them to keep the portal foliage healthy. You know, as a public service. And the magic vine cuttings just got all clingy like that because parasitic holiday plants just (super?)naturally do that to mystic vines.
Either game could have body paint or a couple of vines like the Deep Ocean seaweed. I could probably find some reference photos, but I think you get the idea, and most of the examples would be borderline NSFW anyway. Or Poison Ivy fan art. Neither TSW nor AO require bikini tops to actually provide any support or worry about slippage, so it's really a different set of requirements than RK4 anyway.
12) matching /digmusic for all (TSW)
Sometimes women want to headbang, and sometimes men want a mellow little groove that /doesn't/ involve headbanging. Those really ought to be two different emotes that anyone can do. I think this is more just fixing an old oversight than a new Christmas item, but if you did get around to fixing this, I'm sure we'd consider it a gift.
13) Permanent Anima Wings
Some folks /really/ want this to be part of their regular costume and not just a momentary effect. Yes, they're on the Halloween list too, but maybe these are a different color. Or if we don't get them for Halloween, we'll still want them. Even if they're still too insubstantial to actually fly with, they look pretty awesome and go really well with some character concepts. I'm sure AO would like them, too, especially if they actually allow flight like Quantum Wings and jetpacks, since the outdoor RK maps /were/ designed for flight.
14) Micro-skirts with matching panties
The same colors as AO's Thong of Many Colors. Maybe the matching panties /are/ that thong, but they don't have to be. A little cheek coverage isn't a bad thing, like the Piratical Panties. It's obviously one item, but the panties /with/ the micro-skirt gives AO an option half-way between a thong and skorts. Because all of AO's miniskirts are skorts. We're kinda over the whole skorts thing. I don't think those ever lasted as long as a fashion on RK4 as they have on AO. A skirt that's really not much more than a wide belt would work fine with AO's legs mesh and could use a slightly different color to the panties part of the texture, or different material properties, so even if you're not looking close enough to see the hem detail, you can tell it's not the same piece of cloth. "Matching" doesn't necessarily mean the *same* color. The whole thing should be about the size and shape of the Gift Panties, maybe about 10% lower on top, but a smoother skirt design instead of the ruffled panties look, or at least just one long row of ruffle, so it looks like the micro-skirt and the panties just might be separate if you didn't know there aren't slots for that. Like this, but in a solid color
http://www.yandy.com/Electric-Green-Swirl-Mini-Skirt.phpTSW has some decent short skirts already. They're not /that/ short, but at least they're skirts. The big difference here is the panties. After three years, we /really/ need to change those. Dancing on stage in short dresses and miniskirts does tend to give people an occasional peek anyway, so even shorter skirts that show off that you've chosen to wear something less standard basic black under them would only be an improvement. At least until we get that separate lingerie layer I'm still convinced you guys want to work on.
And while we're on the subject of lingerie layers and baked on default underwear textures, could we please have some alternate pasties? As a separate chest item for now, I suppose, and then moved to the lingerie layer later. Even just basic colors like the thongs would be an improvement over yellow smiley faces. Of course, the GSP logo would be perfect for that, too. Just sayin'.
15) snow accumulation
This might be a rather hefty request, but it would definitely add to the location realism, at least in places like New York, London, and Tokyo. Seoul should probably be on the top of the list for variable weather, though. I mean, even in Seattle, it can't rain /all/ the time. But after that, a little bit of winter snowfall would be lovely. Even if it's just a dusting that appears after a server maintenance, that's realistic enough. Like waking up to see a white blanket outside.
As for Rubi-Ka, a planet with two suns could understandably have a shortage of snow, but how about some white fog like the black Halloween fog? There is that floating weather effect that kinda looks snowish. Maybe some Iceleets got into the atmosphere processors for the terraforming systems and lowered the thermostat a couple degrees to make that "snow" fall more and stay longer?
16) a snowglobe big enough to dance in
Obviously it's just a hologram, so we don't have to worry about kicking through glass, or breathing inside it, or getting our white Christmas dresses soaking wet and see-through. It should be sized so we look like a music box ballerina in it and can perform all the usual dance moves from the center of it without stepping outside the globe or kicking through the hologram and giving it away. I don't suppose it could raise us up about a foot? The bottom of a sphere might be a problem if we're standing at the same height it is. I guess it would have to be one of the flat-bottomed, bell jar-shaped snow "globes".
17) snowballs to throw at each other (TSW)
AO has snowball nanos. Maybe TSW needs a snowball pseudo-weapon that can be thrown at friendly targets like that, or thrown at monsters to get their attention, or tossed /to/ someone so they can catch it, or thrown above someone and detonated into a brief flurry of snow, or thrown on the ground to create a slippery patch, or rolled in a snow patch to make a bigger snowball to make a snowman.
Maybe the snowballs are consumable, collectable from in-world snowbanks and patches of snow accumulation, or dropped by snowman monsters. Maybe if you catch one (significantly higher chance if tossed than thrown) you gain another in your inventory to equip if you've run out or use as ammo until you run out. I'm sure people would rather have the option of a permanent snowball ability, especially those who like to role-play elemental powers, but consumable and seasonal and temporary makes sense for snowballs, too. Maybe there's a special snow-themed elemental focus that adds snowball powers like an Aux weapon and is better at ice-type elemental abilities than fire ones? Like it counts as 1 QL better for ice and 1 QL less for fire and even for the rest?
18) /dance_lilith_faire
Not a specific move, more a general style, like the kind of dancing one might have seen at Lilith Faire, but not on the stage. Something like samba, but to a different beat, more grooving and swaying than step-wiggling and turning. Something to take the place of so much defaulting to samba as the closest thing we have and then typing out long descriptions of swaying and stretching langourously because we wouldn't actually do a samba to the song we're hearing. Maybe something like
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o65RisQW5bs19) portable stripper poles
Or dance cages. Or both. In TSW, The Albion should have them as stage options. So should The Crusades, for that matter, in addition to or instead of the mic and drums. And for shows anywhere else that doesn't have permanent, securely mounted, steady poles, we'll just have to bring our own and use bee magic to secure them.
In AO, there are certainly enough dance clubs that really should have poles and/or cages, but we rarely use those venues lately. We just need the exposure of dancing where passers by might notice and join us. Portable definitely wins there. There were some ARK tests of laser dance cages a few years back, but nothing came of it. Nanos can be blamed for any kind of sudden furniture, though, so portable sturdy poles make sense. You could even just give us floor mount adapters for the wall mounted titanium poles we've been collecting for years.
In either game, they should be candy-cane striped for Christmas, but we will, of course, want them all year round. And they'll need various /poledance emotes that actually sync our position to them better than the TSW chairs do. If you haven't seen Tabula Rasa's (RIP) /poledance emote, well, I wish you'd seen it when that game still existed, because this is the only decent example I can find now of how they did it there.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxMpw_O-wZA Just ignore the goofy Richard Garriott mask. Of course, there's plenty of pole dancing video to choose examples from, but TR's incorporation of summoning a magic pole to dance on is really appropriate.
And seriously, TSW chairs and positioning need work, even if it means a special extra-slow movement mode for accurate positioning, and then we want the stripper poles as soon as we're sure half the crowd isn't going to think we're some kind of naughty carousel because they see the pole going right through us.
20) Santa heckler (BOTH)
A snow heckler like the one we have an action figure of in AO, but with a red and white hat and maybe red boots and gloves or something. The suggestions were a little unclear on whether he was a social NPC or a pet or an enemy rampaging through the playfields. Maybe he's a new Guardian of Gaia, or he's out trying to catch escaped Iceleets and we can get some Christmas goodies by saving them from him. Or maybe he's really just the same heckler that's been hanging around the London fight club now donning a costume for the holidays.
Or maybe there's a new mission to collect the booties, gloves, hat, beard, etc. from Krampus and/or some snow wendigoes out in the Carpathian Fangs and bring them to the Heckler so he can finish his costume, for which he gives us a pet version, without actually explaining why a stone golem from another world wants to play Santa. He probably doesn't speak very clearly. Or at all. Should make an interesting mission intro cutscene. Call the mission "What the Heck(ler)".
21) skimpy gift wrap outfits
- Speedos and bikini bottoms that look like shiny red and green and silver wrapping paper
- "to gift wrap our packages"
- with ribbons for straps and strategically placed bows
22) cute felt antlers (AO)
- like the ones TSW and Antleet have
- deer tails to go with them
23) instruments (TSW)
- Make the magic flute stay around as a toy/prop and not vanish when another mission is undertaken
- more instruments would be nice, too, like ukeleles and guitars and harmonicas
24) skimpier Santa outfits, but not as thongy as TSW's bunny
- maybe more a Bad Santa outfit for the guys, and Santa's Helper with short skirt and fishnets for the girls
25) permanent separate Grind Girl uniform
- perhaps without the logo
26) Christmas morphs like the ones in the Weird Looking Candy Cherries from Halloween (AO)
- Snow Heckler, Iceleet, Santa Leet, and Elfleet, cyborgs in Santa suits, Mr. Santa Squeaky, various monsters from Penumbra
and the candy, instead of cherries, maybe it could be:
- an RK version of the Quality Street chocolate triangles that are so popular in the UK for Christmas, especially the green and purple ones
- peanut brittle where some of the "peanuts" are nano capsules
- something simple like gumdrops
- peppermint drops like mini York peppermint patties or Junior Mints
27) dance animations for leets and other morphs (AO)
- because rolling to the left, biting your ankle, rolling to the right, and jumping, is a pretty cute dance, but if the only way to change it up is to roll right first, then left, or roll in a circle, it can get pretty boring after more than a decade
28) a story about some weird xmas elves (TSW)
- a filthy elf might even be an interesting pet
- they're all working for some e-tailer that clearly isn't Amazon now because Santa obviously drives for RedBoxTruck, not "brown", and one of Orochi's subsidiaries is pulling some real grinchy corporate sabotage to weaken them for a hostile takeover and the collateral damage is making the Nile.com elves go postal, or something like that
- is Scrivnomancer reading this? I'm sure you could run with this on the off chance you haven't already come up with something better.
29) Christmas hover laser shark pet
- a shark with a laser attached to its head...with Christmas ornaments wrapped around the whole body ... and it hovers above ground. I blame "Sharknado" for this getting so many votes.
30) decorative Christmas lanterns
- like the Halloween Hanging Lanterns, but with wreathes and ornaments and stockings and candy canes and such
31) bring back the mankini (TSW)
- seriously, AO has it, and AO is rated for teens, so what's the problem? You're not still upset about that dramatic counter-overreaction fiasco, are you?
32) ray guns that, instead of firing little bolts of yellow light, just cause a little flag that says "Pew!" to appear
33) A Christmas Light suit
- as if your older sibling decided to decorate you like a Christmas tree
34) naughty elf outfits
- we ask for this almost every year - I think you get the idea by now
35) Hello Leety merch
- Hello Leety /everything/ like a Pumpkin Spice flavored Mr. Squeaky.
- backpacks - dolls - t-shirts - pajamas - slippers - panties - vehicles - shoulder lanterns - coffee mugs - shotguns
36) full size dancing Mr. and Mrs. and Santa Claus dolls (AO)
37) red hotpants with Christmas ornament designs
- green on one side and silver on the other, where jeans back pockets would be
38) tiny flying reindeer pet
39) player dolls
- If they're our own character, they need to be tradable
- preferably molded from a blank one by selecting someone and using it
- maybe they should also work on humanoid NPCs - Luella would make a good default to start with instead of "blank"
- we have to be able to update it, in case we didn't time that snapshot right or want to change it to someone else, or a different outfit, later
- Trevor "Trevalin" Alinari bobbleheads and Lia "Iolanthe" Lester dolls were specifically requested, but I can think of several GSP show regulars who would make good collectible dolls
- Joshua "Scrivnomancer" Doetsch has been specifically requested, too
- and then next we'll need dollhouses, or at least display shelves, and apartments to keep them in...
40) Red Ryder BB Gun
- with %chance of casting a blind on the user
- hopefully a higher chance of blinding the target, though
41) Christmas socks (AO)
42) elbow length gloves in red, purple, blue, etc.
- even if they don't match your faction in TSW
- no shoulder in AO - maybe they're a hand item that sets the default arm texture too, or the other way around if there's too much doing that already
43) Rabbit footie pajamas
- preferably with separate ears and tail so they can go with other bunny outfits, too (AO)
44) glowing reindeer noses
45) candy cane striped boxer shorts for all!
46) various winter beverages (and foods)
- pumpkin spice and caramel apple lattes
- hot cocoa, with or without marshmallows
- mulled cider
- buttered rum drink
- peppermint shakes (maybe they're faction-specific, peppermint shakes for Templars and Pumpkin Spice for Illuminati and Spiced Chai for Dragons)
- eggnog
- Christmassy shaped and decorated sugar cookies
- caramel apples
- any of those Christmas candies listed under the "Christmas morphs"
- bonus points for special visual effects, ala Animanhattan
47) R.U.D.13 the Orochi Reindeer (TSW)
- Giant Orochi four-legged robot, with more than a passing similarity to Rudolph, that goes crazy and flies around the world, landing in various hotspots to wreak havoc like a red-nosed golem
- or maybe he stomps on Krampuses and we can take sides or fight them both
48) Red pumps that match the Naughty List bikini (AO)
- We still only have black and white. We need red.
49) Experienced Aviator Sunglasses with +Vehicle Air again (AO)
- not all of us lowbies have gone through Arete and gotten that free low-requirement vehicle
50) snow flurry nano (AO)
51) handheld tentacle monsters
- probably a glove/puppet for Christmas, as a live one is more Halloween
52) make the old snowmen tradable (AO)
- the whole ones that are just "Snowman" and not constructed from parts are no-trade decorations and pre-date the server merge, so some are stuck on alts who have no use for them
- and it would be cool if you could make them generate snow, like the white sparks / popcorn / clan shadowbreed effect
53) snowball nanos that glitter more and leave a residual glitter on the target (AO)
53) ridable reindeer / swiftwind with reindeer antlers
- four legged vehicles might be a bit much, but we can still wish
- reindeer hoverbike would be good, too
- TSW reindeer sprint? (Or reindeer themed scooter if horse legs are too much animation work for TSW, too - Star Stable has good horse animation, but it's a different, more restrictive kind of mobility)
55) Candy cane and icicle / ice bullet weapons
- assorted moulds for TSW
- and some more props for AO, like a candy cane striped hammer or a laser rifle (bonus points if it shoots a red and white beam, too)
56) snowmobile races (TSW)
- race through Carpathian Fangs, on a separate instance, with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
- with bonus points for tripping Yeti with a giant candy cane as you zoom by
- while a bigger, greener, Grinchier yeti chases after you and tries to knock you off course
- one of the rewards is a choice of candy cane mould
57) sweater puppies
- v-neck midriff sweaters, appropriate for a summer planet or Christmas in Australia or Egypt
58) Easier travel between Santa Leet and the Workshop (AO)
- portal from the Christmas Tree to the workshop and back
- Santa Leet's teleporter is repaired and he can now teleport you to MeetMeDere and back to Newland
- There's another Santa Leet (or at least a helper) in MeetMeDere to give the next mission
59) new pet animations and interactions (TSW)
- the Smiler running about screaming "Danger! Danger!"
- ak'abs knocking other pets over and starting fights
- cats that curl up and nap once in a while (unless there are ghosts or monsters around)
60) basic red lipstick (TSW)
- like Dita Von Teese
- just the lipstick, no eyeliner, no blush, and no concealer (meaning another version *with* freckles)
- or just the lipstick is basic red without making everything else about your makeup red. Like, smoky eyes, not overdone, with classy red lipstick
61) pvp event for the year's hottest toy
- like the movie "Jingle All The Way"
- really ought to take place in a mall, but that might be a bit much for a holiday event, although that whole Magic Flute mission was rather involved, too. Maybe you can reuse the mall assets later? Zombies do love a good mall.
62) Skinny Santa mission (TSW)
- Skinny Santa has had all the jolly sucked out of him by fighting the filth all year and we have to throw him an epic party to get his fat and jolly mojo back
- Just because we saw his ghost last year doesn't mean he's not still out there doing Christmas, right? I mean, we're ghosts all the time and we keep coming back to do the same mission over again.
63) something like a Flaybooz or Fizzgig minus the copyright
- kinda like a cross between an angora bunny, a Pomeranian, a tribble that's eaten too many marshmallows, and a leet, that keeps losing at a Japanese gameshow involving Swcharzkopf shampoo
- "It's so fluffy I'm gonna die!"
- is it a pet? a handheld prop? a decoration? I don't know, it's just sooo fluffy!
64) more stuffed animal toys
- malles, swiftwinds, sabertooths (AO)
- hippopotamus (TSW)
65) /christmas_tree_lean (TSW)
- where you fold your arms and lean against a tree.
- Or... you know.. a wall if no tree is available
- Or just more emotes in general, in addition to more dances
66) tinsel g-string, even skimpier than the Naughty List bikini
- maybe some shiny glittery tassels that we can at least imagine would shimmer nicely when we move
67) Some kind of anti-santa suit, like Krampus or The Grinch
* Christmas lava lamps with red and green lava and white bubbles
- no, I don't know how three different liquids are immiscible - must be nanos or magic or something
- or the white "bubbles" are actually glass beads
* Christmas Invasion
- big mean-faced sharp-toothed snowmen and snow hecklers (AO) or yeti (TSW) roaming the woods
- maybe they're trying to bring snow to Rubi-Ka, to terraform it for their species (AO)
- it doesn't /have/ to be a total rip-off of a Doctor Who Christmas special, but if it's reminiscent enough to make us look for help in blue phone booths, well, some of us just always do that anyway
* Big Wheel
- big plastic tricycle vehicle
- same speed as hoverboards (AO), but when you jump, it pops a wheelie
* pet snowmen that throw snowballs at nearby people and pets (TSW)
- or elves or stuffed toy tigers or mini-yeti
* Full size Mr. Wheelie ground vehicle (AO)
- preferably a nano, since single-use short-duration vehicle nanos (Orisky) are not a long term travel solution
- with no requirements, this would be a good option for pre-Arete lowbies and anyone who missed the Shady Guy's free ground vehicle
* Miniature sleigh and eight tiny wendigos (TSW)
* tinsel decoration like the AO strings of Christmas lights
* Holiday Hologram that bursts in an explosion of snowflakes that slow down and float to the ground (AO)
* Christmas music box, usable to set the background music in your apartment
- or jukebox
- or just add the music feature to the existing sound system furniture
- and add a Christmassy tune to the selection
* snow and ice effects for aux weapons (TSW)
- snowball / icicle launcher
- snow squall / wind-driven blizzard from the bracers
- wrap the whip around a big icicle and give it a yank to send it spinning after someone like a top
- chainsaws... carve ice sculptures?
* free month of TSW for AoC/AO/Lego players
- maybe offer a free month of something else to under-age players of AO and Lego?
* Discount episode bundles without having to buy the game again (TSW)
* fix the old Christmas Gifts (AO)
- maybe give them a tradeskill process to apply a hacking tool to change the date on the old gift and turn it into whichever current Christmas Gift has the same icon
- or use wrapping paper on them to re-wrap them and turn them into a different looking new Christmas Gift
- or a Boxing Day returns NPC we can take the expired gifts to and exchange them for a shiny new one
- bonus points for some way to return that fourth Funny Arrow or yet another pair of Boxers girls can't wear for no obvious reason; it's kinda depressing to have to delete so much Christmas loot to get the one thing you're missing
* strings of Christmas light decorations (TSW)
- like the ones AO has had for years
* some decorations for non-Christian winter holidays
- and not more Krampus rockets, either
- Yule, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, new year, etc.
* Christmas crackers (the British kind)
- with pop effects and paper crowns and cute little fortune cookie sayings like the Extravagant Pieces of Chocolate
* String Vest of AUNO made of strings of Christmas Lights
* pet snowmen that grow bigger and bigger instead of melting
- possibly because they're infused with a white Humidity Extractor (AO)
- and then explode in a little snowstorm
* Dancing Christmas dolls (TSW)
- Pet dancing Santa and Mrs. Claus and elves and maybe even elfleets, just like the ones in AO
- call them homunculi and have them randomly explode in a shower of candy
* Santa costume (TSW)
- fluffy white beard, big red fatsuit, and of course, the hat
* Ganking Sandy Claws (AO)
- Some of Uncle Pumpkinhead's clones that we didn't track down in mission caves and kill at Halloween hid out for a month and put on Santa masks and hats to gank us again when we weren't expecting it
- but the clones weren't made to last that long and now it sounds like sleigh bells when they move
* pet komodo dragons (TSW)
- breathe just enough fire to light cigarettes
- serves as a flamethrower skin (if you have the pet out and activate the flamethrower ability, the pet does the animation instead of the weapon)
* dancing Santa cyborg (AO)
* flower crowns and holly crowns
* skiing sprint (TSW)
- might have to make this only usable where there is snow
- maybe combine it with another sprint that only works where there /isn't/ snow, like rollerblades or wheeled skateboards
* elf ears (TSW)
- I bet one of Orochi's brands makes elf ear bluetooth earphones, for infiltrating sci-fi conventions to steal their fashion ideas
* smaller sleigh yalm (AO)
- white single passenger sled with reindeer decals and glowing "thruster" runners instead of that huge locomotive engine in front
- maybe it's the elf's sled, like a shuttle to Santa's mothership
* Yetis running amok like abominable snowmen in Carpathian Fangs (TSW)
* zamboni vehicle
- or ZOMboni vehicle (TSW)
* A pumpkin spice Thneed, so we can have pumpkin spice EVERYTHING in just one inventory slot.
- You do all remember The Lorax, right? Thneeds? Those things the evil factory made out of Truffula trees because everyone needed a Thneed and a Thneed was all they'd ever need because you could just knead it into anything you need it to be?
- or in AO, I suppose it could be a can of nanos that can be molded into anything, like programmable clay, but still always tastes like pumpkin spice
* inflatable scenes of The Nativity and/or Golgotha
* Candy Cane mothership (AO)
- that alien mothership that turns the sky green as it slowly passes over when aliens are invading... gets hacked by Elfleets while the aliens are down here harassing Santa Leet's Workshop, so the whole mothership is painted red and white stripes and lit up like a blinking Christmas Tree, and instead of green, it makes the sky cloudy and white and snowy
* infinite Christmas cookie or candy cane dispenser
- like the "Chocolate Exultation" Gift Box
- butter cookies or sugar cookies in various shapes with colorful decorations
- little bite-size gingerbread cookies to eat instead of doll-sized ones to dance with
- little candy canes in various colors and flavors to suck on instead of big enough to play croquet with
* Christmas Style balloons
- same as regular balloons pet, but red and green and silver
- Reindeer (swiftwinds with antlers) with Balloons tied to their Antlers
* pink gloves that match the pink boots and hotpants and dragon print shirt (AO)
* silvertail rocking horse
- TSW version is just a regular opaque short-tailed unicorn
* Santa bag and double candy cane back item (TSW)
* reindeer-drawn sled sprint with snow and sparkle trail (TSW)
* An atrox in a santa hat (TSW)
* Bubble light decorations
- like the old bubbling Christmas tree lava lights that are no longer on the market because on RK4 they're fire hazards
* candy cane themed motorcycle (TSW)
* heckler butler pet
* Guardian of Time mount/vehicle (AO)
- or a sled pulled by 8 tiny ones
* candy cane bikini made of real candy
* Aussie-style Christmas barbecue grills
- deployable like the picnic table
- perfect for Christmas on a summer planet, or in Egypt
* carousel reindeer vehicle
- in AO it's a phasefront hoverbike
- in TSW it's a motorcycle with the body made from an old carousel reindeer
* Snow Angel emote
- use a dropped or bought patch of snow (or snow accumulation above) to flop down in and wave your arms and legs to make the outline of an angel
- or a Snow Devil emote - doing the same thing in a patch of fire
- hot and snowy?
http://www.fugly.com/media/IMAGES/Random/bikini-snow-angels.jpgAs always, thanks so much for taking the time to read, or at least skim, this list, and I hope you found something useful, inspiring, and/or amusing here. We're all looking forward to seeing what Santa Leet brings and what creepy new surprise festivities await, but for now, it's back to camping in the pumpkin patches, trying to summon Uncle Pumpkinhead and/or Jack O'Lantern.
